    Okay ish product, they aren’t a true mesh system. If you have them in a setup such as (Room) 1 2 3 and a dash - means let’s say 10 metres so 1 - 2 - 3

A normal mesh is (Room) 1 will send signal to 2 and 2 will send signal to 3 so the if u have a dead zone or far room you get signal and connection.

    Deco works like:

    1 sends signal to 2
1 also sends signal to 3 even if 3 is 30 metres away. Make of this what you will.

Hope this makes sense. I tried the S4 and X20 both returned unfortunately. I went with Asus AiMesh system.

True this although never used to be. I have 5 and they daisy chained giving a strong signal to the garden office 30 metres away at the top of the garden. Recently all satellite units will only connect to main unit no matter how far away if there is a trace of a signal. So garden office now has a weak signal that keeps dropping. Always used to work fine and could make them work correctly by turning them on on order. Not anymore. No way to tell the units which one to connect to or override. Loads of people complaining about this as it is obviously why most people invest in the system. No help from TP-link and no intention of giving users the ability to choose which unit connects to which. OK if you have a square area with main deck in middle but if you want to cover a longer/thinner distance they now can't do it even though it was fine for 2 years. Think I will seek a different system.

Bought these the other week, brilliant. I had constant problems with Virgin Superhub 3, so put that in modem mode and connected this up. Transformed our wi-fi experience.

    Identical to what happened here...

Incredible product for the price and finally can enjoy Virgin Media speeds actually being pumped around the house!

    Thought they where Kettles.

WiFi 6? If the answer is no, just ignore it!!!

I have the m4 and they are great

These are not wifi6 if speed is important to you and you have a fast internet connection (edited)

I have a 100 Mbps connection, and with these I get a minimum of 75 Mbps in every room. It's more than plenty.

Bought this early last year, no issues here, bought it at the same price too.

Deadly job. You won't have any family compliants over WiFi if you get these

I guess this is good as a starter mesh system. But just be wary that although these improve WIFI signal, it is unlikely you get full speed at each satellite nodes connected. Apparently you require Tri band ones which transmit over a dedicated 5ghz connection to each node.
    Avatar
Not apparently, it’s facts haha! Triband and WiFi 6 best of all worlds if you can stretch to it then Wifi 6E is the next level cutting edge

paid about 89 for ours. have 2 sets.

always been reliable. can't fault them

Had been looking at getting these but ended up investing in a decent router instead to replace the Virgin Superhub rubbish and it's working excellently thus far - got a TP Link one on Amazon for £55.

Don't get these if you need all 3 in a daisy chain setup....my main one connects to number 2 and further down the house number 3 also connects to number 1 making the signal weak down there ...I've had to manually change settings ..switch off number 3 then switch it back then it sometimes connects to number 2....otherwise it often tries to connect to number 1

Im very impressed by tp link. Bought the m4 trio set in March 2020. Had 1 die two weeks ago, they have a 3 year warranty which I thought wouldn't be honoured or I'd have to fight it out with the retailer where I bought them from. But with 1 instant chat message with tp link, they setup an RMA and the day they received it back a replacement was in the post!

ITT: People saying you won't get full speed on each node even though most people use their fibre connections for Facebook and Youtube.

These are outrageously good for the money. If you're going round someone's house a lot and are disappointed at their WiFi. Tell them you'll fix the problem for them for 94.99 and then nip round and plug these in for them. For 99% of usage they are simply sublime

hi im considering buying this im on bt fttp and use a smart hub 2 would this work with it?.
    Avatar
Yes. Turnoff WiFi on smart hub 2, plug 1 into smart hub 2 then connect the satellite nodes

I bought this. Solid 100mbps all over my house with solid walls.
Even top whack speeds at the bottom of my garden.
    Highly recommended from me!!

For the average user who wants to improve wifi around the house are these the one ?

These, or the Tenda MW6 3 pack would do you perfectly! I have the latter and they’ve improved coverage massively.
