They are more expensive I'm paying 60 pounds for 24g valid for one year.im happy to pay the extra for the speeds I receive.3 is clear second.
I paid 28 for 24gb for 24 months from Amazon few months back

I had 30 lines for data and still have 1 as my personal line with EE, which I'll be moving this week. 3 has been a life saver for me after the dreadful service and reception from $#!tEE.
My experience is that EE is faster if I'm going down hill.

Your very much mistaken this is your opinion and fact is EE is 50% quicker than any other network.this is factual figures not mine or your opinions
Of course for some customers 3 could be better say in isolated towns or villages but for the overall profile of the UK EE is better.
Got this last year and just got this now. Cheers
I've been using a three sim for the last week which I got via the uswitch deal (600mins, unlimited texts + 30gb data for £20 p/m 30 day contract.) I have been impressed with the speed of the 4g. At home been getting 30mbps, at a motorway services last week was getting 50mbps and at work in town was getting 70mbps! Didn't think those speeds were possible but a speed checker confirmed it. Asked a couple of Q's with three via live chat prior to taking out the deal as I wanted to make sure I could use it abroad straight away and they were very helpful. So far, I'm very impressed. I'm voting hot as I just needed a stop gap sim whilst our broadband switches over, so if I'd seem this deal I would have gone for it.
Just put 1 in my iPad Pro. On a trip around Grantham,Nottingham, chesterfield and Blackpool.
Hope it works well as only have 2gb limit on my talk mobile / Vodafone data.
When I used their payg "Feel at home" for data abroad two months ago, I found the speed was throttled, at 3G, and it was seriously slow. That was in Hongkong, the home of 3 (Hutchison).

So don't expect you will necessarily feel at home... (_;)
EE may be faster, but the expiries they put on their SIMs aren't very generous. This will last for a year. I bought the 24gb version and that's good for two years.

Feel at home proved to be totally useless in the USA, but absolutely fine for me in Europe.

The expiry is one year on EE the same as this post.i brought two 24g three Sims from Amazon they were 2 year expirys.but for me there useless.

EE drip feeds you 2GB a month though, which doesn't suit my purposes. I may not use a sim for month or two and then use up 3-4g in a couple of weeks. And the EE site themselves are asking £90 for a 24gb sim.

You'll find that the Amazon 24 GB offer is available again -
amazon.co.uk/gp/…-21
but at the massively increased price of £40.38 (from memory I think it was £28.40 around Xmas?), and with the added complication that they now state "Usually dispatched within 1 to 4 weeks ".
So a possible saving of £5.12 (per 24 GB) on this deal, and valid for 2 years instead of 1, but with maybe a month's wait for delivery.

Went to New York last year and I am on Three... Internet there was practically useless on the phone.. Had to use the hotels, shops etc wifi... Flew from there to Las Vegas and never had a problem there... Must just be certain areas in the USA...
Going to try and use my three 24gb card in HK this summer. Three are a Hong Kong company so hopefully it should be ok.

Luckily, my house is right next to a PCCW phone box with a wifi signal so will get a CSL sim for free Wifi for home use.

Its good you said, I bought one for going to Reykjavik and it didn't work - 3 network needs to be more specific on what areas in those countries they cover. I have dual sims so my EE sim could access the internet but it was pretty disappointing it cost me £20 and didn't do anything.

You'll be fine in HK. It'll be 3G speed but usable. I have used it on multiple occasions.

Thanks, good to know.

Have previously used a 30 day HK$168 pccw multi device wifi card bought from 7eleven but I doubt they still sell them after CSL took over the wifi hotspot service.

Bought a three sim to use in Portugal but had to give up as it was unusable because of throttle. Had to get a local sim instead.
Might be OK in UK tho...
Im actually in Hong Kong now using the 24Gb SIM brought from Amazon , it doesnt seem to work in a TP Link M7340 MiFi unit . However after a carrier update on my iPhone its usable , albeit only 3G . Not quite sure why it doesnt work on my MiFi though and im unable to manually select a network on it.

I am going to try and buy a CSL 30 day wifi pass when I visit in July/August. My house is quite near a phone box with a Wifi Signal. You can use it with multiple devices (ipads, laptops, smartphones etc.)

edit: just noticed it says " csl Wi-Fi Prepaid Pass is also available for purchase at csl Shop, 7-Eleven and Circle K outlets." Fantastic news!

I have 3 on my phone and although I'm relatively happy with the deal I've got, the reception is poor. I hardly get 4g and often find myself with crap 3G even in central London.

God damn we need a ee summer sim deal again dont we! Don't think it will happen now there are more users on the 4g network though, shame. Need a decent 20gb+ mobile tethering deal atm myself.

I was in New York last month and it worked fine on 3G for surfing and google maps etc. Not sure why you had an issue, hotel wifi was good as well.

Yeah I've been with 3 since 2013 I think, so I've been through a fair few phones now and can't blame the handsets I'm always kinda surprised where I seem to hit black spots. It's pretty good on 3G although I remember getting next to no signal near The Houses of Parliament a couple of years ago when I worked that area and Shad Thames too. I suppose it could be tall buildings but it's frustrating. I've been working near Heathrow and 3G is good but not seeing much 4G on my downtime.

I wanted to switch to EE as I had a PAYG spare phone and always seemed to see 4G not that I had the allowance to use it, 3 offered me a tethering deal and I stayed.

The regular prices is 30 pounds, I think. But Amazon had a special double version for Christmas: 24 GB and 24 months to use them. Great value - I am still using mine.

But as far as current offers go, this seems to be the best.

Same source is now selling 24 GB for £40.31, but with up to 4 weeks wait for delivery. See my post #16 above.

I also wish I'd grabbed lots at 28 quid, but at the time only bought the one because I was uncertain if 3 data coverage in my area would be acceptable.

Currently using one of these from MyMemory, tethering in the same phone at the same location and, tbh, does occasionally lose connection, whereas the Amazon one sailed through the 24 GB without a hiccup. Probably just chance.

If it was the original price I'd go for it but it's not worth saving five pound for the extra 12 gbp exposure this deal is better but I have five phones with the 200mb free data reward sims only. This is good if you only have 1 phone heat

Agree, I've gone for this one with the 5% discount, heat as you say, but in the meantime will keep an eye on the Amazon page in the hope they may bring the price down somewhere nearer to last time, then if so, I'll buy a shedload
