These are factory seconds, but I’ve just got mine and it was easy enough to clean off a bit of light surface rust. The next comparable is their 150 mm 3 piece set which retails for £34.96. These are part of the 300 mm set which retails at £69.96, but this kit doesn’t have the centre finder. So retail falls somewhere between the two. They also have a “make an offer” button, so you may be able to beat the listed price.

Nice find..... I've had that. Heat 😁
Nice, my offer of £18 was auto accepted.

One person bought for £15.50.
Offered £17 auto accepted thanks
Not bought any tools or books for a few weeks so...

What is 3rd part in this set as hard to tell from pics; compared to 4 piece set?
This is the square and protractor, but not the centre finder. 4 piece set here: axminstertools.com/axm…405
*they both have the straight edge as well, which is on its edge in the listing
Everybody vote cold! I've an offer pending acceptance I'm kiddin, voted hot! Dont really need another set but I believe they are good quality so we will see if I get them or not......
Says almost gone but there’s 120 left so doubt they’ll run out too quickly.
Are these actually precisely square? As I've got a starrett that's just ever so slightly off the square. In need of a new combi square

After reading the reviews its likely to be the returned or none square ones...

I'll probably just stick with a bahco square or something. Thanks anyway.

I dont think that is the case, the one I got had some moisture in the packaging and a bit of rust. I think they had a manufacturing problem where moisture got to them in the warehouse. If you read the ebay advert it strongly suggests that as well. The one I have seems perfectly square based on my other squares in my shop.

Thanks for pointing it out, I was wondering whether it came with one. I'm so very tempted, I can't usually afford Axminster tools and I'm fed up of my current 89 degree squares...

Sell it on as a tapering square

It only takes a few minutes to take that out with a standard stone and some cutting oil. The honed surfaces reflect laser light well, so if you have a laser distance measure you can get your "perfect" right angle.
40809475-r8b5m.jpgI offered 15 and it was accepted.
I offered £15.60 last night and have just had that accepted, which I am happy with. Should also collect 15p TopCashback. Clearly they will accept lower at £15 as the previous post so worth making lower offers!
Just got my £15.50 accepted also!
They declined my offer of £15 and came back with £17.

Hmm maybe they are recognising the demand and upping the price! I put my offer in yesterday evening. I did originally offer £14 which was binned!

I think they've sold close to 100 since this deal went live on here so that's quite likely!

I don't like the way they can sit on an offer for 24 hours or simply reject it but you can't easily retract it.
If the seller can sit and wait to chance it you should be able to pull your offer too.

You can retract it, just select 'entered wrong amount'

That's not simply retracting an offer though.
That's making up an excuse and waiting for it to be authorised or accepted.
How did I miss this - check a few times each day and only see it now they are all gone
