Waiting for all the "they're just too heavy" and "it rusted on the first use!" comments. Bargain price. I have these and they're fine for most uses when my Lodge's are too big.
great deal thanks

I've tried these in the past. I don't know where I go wrong but I just can't stop everything sticking to the arse of anything that hasn't got a Teflon coating

When i got my first cast iron skillet my friend said to me,
'Ah, the cast iron beast.
Hard to tame but loving when it gets to know you'
Still makes me laugh

Cast iron skillets need to be 'seasoned', i.e. you need to prepare the non stick coating by applying layers of oil or fat so it soaks into the skillet and then only lightly wash or just rinse or dry wipe it clean.
The more layers you have the less likely things will stick

Lol, what are you trying to cook in them?
I only have a small one for frying eggs in.

Anything I tried! I probably didn't have enough layers, but tbh, I have ADHD and have a tendency to wander away from whatever I'm cooking, so I really need non stick stuff
No decent home cook would ever be without one.

There's no doubt that it's an entirely different way of cooking and a bit of an art but I do believe it's worth perseverance, if not for the environment and the improvement in the food you'll cook with it but for your own health purposes too. A documentary called "the devil you know" was the thing that pushed me to chuck all of my non-stick.

I can either die from Teflon poisoning or from the carcinogens in all the burnt food. It's an equal toss up

But if it's a toss up between the Teflon and the skillet, I bet only one pancake will flip.

You need the wrist muscles of a teenage boy if you wanna flip pancakes in a cast iron skillet, them things weigh a tonne.
Just bought some Salter from Aldi and testing now. Bit of maintenance required ie seasoning but hopeful.
