I voted hot. But when I tried to buy it they make you sign up for a credit account and do the associated credit searches. No option to just pay outright without going through this process

Therefor COLD from me.

That's a decent price for the 3 seater, I've had one for around 5 years, and it's still going strong, the fabric is more of a mesh though, which I think is probably tougher and harder wearing in our weather.
I have ordered it last month from studio with padded seat and it is quite good and strong. Approximately, it took 45 minutes to assemble.
Bought this a few weeks ago when it was on here for about £47 with free delivery code and 10% off code. Very nice strong swing, kids and husband love it

I am in the lookout for a three seater. But wary of studio. Not sure about item quality. as well as the strange credit arrangement.
There was one in argos (malibu) posted here but almost double price after discount but lots of positive reviews there.

You would be lucky if it lasts one season, canopy is the weakest link
Have bought. Thanks Op
Looks remarkably similar to one I got at Aldi a couple of years ago. The frame stood the rest of time but the fabric seat perished in the weather . The canopy also noticeably faded in the sun.

I would recommend a decent cover or dismantling and storing in the garage over winter.
Be aware that your first order can only be sent to the account holders address before starting the somewhat painful order process.

Wouldn't know just posted it as seems a good deal. As everyone ive seen have been over a 100. Maybe a painful process however for this price. However I'd rather a "painful" process than paying an additional £30 wouldn't you?

Well that depend on how much value you place on your time. If the retailer is putting up obstacles (credit account and credit searches, as pointed out) or making the ordering process a nightmare, I'd also be inclined to avoid.Sometimes you just have to go elsewhere for your own sanity and to save time.
Be aware that Studio are appalling to deal with.

Their site shows items in stock, yet they only tell you its out of stock after the delivery date has been missed, Their Customer service team are then adamant that they dont have a live stock check system. so even though the website says in stock they actually have no idea and are selling items they may not have in stock.

As sebs says they force you to open a catalogue credit account, you cannot just buy something and pay there and then for it. Took them 4 months to close my account - each time with the same message "we have sent a mail to the team responsible".

Worst company i have ever had the misfortune to have had dealings with - voted cold just for the merchant.

Like I said I wouldn't know I just posted this deal. Bought mine a month ago from Asdas at £99. If what you're saying is true and they do preform credit check searches. I understand your comment. By the sounds of your comment you've had dealings with this company before?
I totally agree with some posters about Studio having an appalling service.

I made the mistake of opening a credit account with them to purchase an item approx 4 months ago. The item took 2 weeks to be delivered, but arrived damaged. I contacted studio and they said send photos and a written statement that I have not maliciously damaged the item. Oh and it had to be via post - not email.

Once this was done, it took another 3 weeks for them to acknowledge and refund. Since that time, I have been asking them to close the account down as I'm not happy with their service. I have sent written letters, emails begging them to close the account down, but have they done this? NO!!!! Almost 3 months on and I'm at end of my tether trying to close the account down. Don't know what else I can do.

So guys you have been warned!

Yes it's a mail order catalogue company, so you need an account to purchase. Accounts are subject to status, if you join successfully they'll give you a credit limit. Once you have an account, it's entirely up to you if you want to purchase anything by credit terms or by purchasing outright in full.

Each to their own though.
difference between the 2 seater and 3 seater is only 17 cm ??? that's one small butt joining your twosome LOL
2 seater size: 153 x 153 x 110cm (60¼ x 60¼ x 43¼")
3 seater size: 170 x 153 x 110cm (67 x 60¼ x 43¼")
Warning it's alway raining here in UK

I still need a pint because they still haven't closed the account and the way things are going, I don't expect they ever will.

Who do I need to contact and can I sue them for holding onto my details under the new GDPR rules?

Not sure £80 is a deal though bud. It's not in a sale or anything.

Anyone not wanting to buy from studio, it's a bit more from Tesco and comes with a long cusion for the seat and back which is removable.

Thanks, but they won't do anything as they'll say no crime has yet taken place, so it's a civil matter.
This appears to be the same model that Argos were selling for £60, recently. Be warned, I had to hammer one side of it to death to get the screws in, as the holes hadn't been drilled properly.
