Do you get a yearly pay rise?
out of the 3 contracts i have with similar phones 3 have been the worst for signal and the slowest on 4g and it’s not even close
Im on £15pm 100gb with tethering offered to me last year, from what I can gather it’s a no brainer to stick with it but anyone know any reason that makes it a good idea to cancel if I can?

Can you even cancel if you have a phone contract?

You'd still have to pay the remaining price of the phone I guess. But not the airtime part.

Not sure about that. I only had SIM only contact and was due to expire in July 2019

I was sim only too and the rise was only 20p but wanted to move to Vodafone so this was timed just right. Holiday in Northern Cyprus next month and Vodafone treat that and Turkey as Europe for roaming.

If the signal is good where you are that's a great deal but for me personally the signal is the worst of any provider I've ever used it doesn't matter if I'm at home at work or out it's always bad.
Signed up to the unlimited plan in January still waiting on my cashback...hurry up so I can cancel

Blame the Government for having RPI
Anticipating more providers preparing for brexit yeeee

It's 2.5% increase in Vodafone as well. But they charge cancelletion fees.
This could be good for me, will try them over the weekend. I'm in contract until August but in serious need of an upgrade to my 8gb of data (£10). Fancy trying it on for unlimited everything for £15

Heat for raising awareness OP, I'd completely forgotten 'that' email.
Yeah I cancelled as a result of this, though their call centre had no clue about it, and I ended up getting the social media team to sort.

I don't know if I am a special case, but I don't seem to be affected by these increases, I have been paying £17 per month for years on three for unlimited data.
Doesn't this apply to contracts on a yearly basis? It's written into most contracts

There were plenty of us on similar, but this is now rolling out and will affect all users. You’ll now be paying about £17.30 ish I would expect
I thought annual RPI related increases were allowed in the contract?

They're getting enough from you! See the retentions thread, most pay £10 for that, including myself.
They sent me a letter saying my plan no longer existed (£17pm unlimited texts and data with 200 minutes). Evidently I'm a bad haggler but I managed unlimited calls and texts with 30gb data for £16pm. That was on the phone to them - feel like I should've held out or asked for a PAC code maybe!

Haggle. You can get unlimited for £10 if you speak to the right chat agent and are friendly.

All the main networks have a price rise in April in line with inflation, my contract has started in April and is just a 12 month Sim only so by the time the price rise comes around I can swap again anyway. Think 3 must have just made an error with some of it's contracts by not including the inflation rise and in hind sight they'd have probably been better letting the contracts laps than implementing a small rise and loosing the custom. As I said it's worked out for me and now my contract renewal will be in April every year so I'll always have a year at whatever the price of every renewal I do before the inflation rise kicks in.
It's not good to start a new contract in March as you could get the annual price rise in April , just a month after joining.

I rang to cancel mine last week. Ive had problems being charged for random premium texts i received. £7 of charges i'd had. Ive been struggling to get them refunded for a couple of months. I rang to cancel, taking the opportunity to leave for free. They refunded £25, plus a £5 refund due to a bill error, plusï gave me another 2gb data for no extra cost, and moved me to a 1 month rolling contract giving flexibility in the future. They told me on the phone there would be £25 exit fees but after arguing they agreed i can leave for free, so it looks like they are trying it on saying you have an exit fee to pay.

I don't want to chance speaking to them, although £10 a month sounds nice, have two contracts with them aswell.

Lots of people have luck at £15. Some have luck at £13, others at £10 and lowest I've seen is £9.

Worth a shot - the £15 is apparently quite easy and the first thing they offer.
