3 (THREE) Feel at Home offer extended to another 24 countries ( 42 in total) Free for 3 Customers

Article taken from android central - One of the most attractive perks for Three UK customers has been its "Feel At Home" program — the ability to roam at no extra cost in a selection of countries — mainly territories where Three already has a local mobile network. From September that list will be expanding significantly to cover 24 new territories, including major European destinations like Germany, Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands and Malta, as well as the Isle of Man and Channel Islands.
Here's a complete breakdown of the new "Feel At Home" countries, which expands the service's area to cover most of the European continent.

Germany
Greece
Portugal
Croatia
Poland
Belgium
Netherlands
Cyprus
Czech Republic
Bulgaria
Hungary
Romania
Malta
Lithuania
Slovakia
Estonia
Latvia
Iceland
Slovenia
Luxembourg
Liechtenstein
Gibraltar
Isle of Man
Channel Islands (Guernsey and Jersey)
That's in addition to the 18 existing Feel At Home countries, which covers many destinations in Asia, and the United States:

Spain
France
Switzerland
Israel
Findland
Norway
USA
Indonesia
Sri Lanka
Macau
Australia
New Zealand
Italy
Austria
Hong Kong
Sweden
Denmark
Republic of Ireland
The fact that the new list kicks in from September means holidaymakers traveling this month will miss out on free roaming in these countries. Nevertheless, bringing most of Europe into the "Feel At Home" zone makes sense ahead of the looming abolition of roaming charges within the EU, set to kick in from June 15, 2017.

This does not apply on the new essential plans!

Edit As per above All plans apart from the Essential Plan and with Pay as You GO users the All in Addon is required same as it currently is from what ive read.

And Finland!

Typical I'm currently in Greece using a Tesco PAYG sim, as it was better than my Three tariff for data. Good news though - a little overdue and I notice they have waited for the end of the holiday season too. Voting hot cos I love unlimited handset data and now proper free EU roaming. Odd situation with the brexit on the horizon. Hot all the same.

And Israel

“Feel at home” means you can use your allowances to call and text the UK and use your data.

What you may not be aware of is its can be quite expensive to call local numbers in the country you’re in.

Not if you use Just Call

This same deal was posted by 2 other people before this. I wonder why theirs were removed and this one is allowed?

What no EU/Brexit comments?

Only if you're in the UK!

Used it in the US and got a text saying I had saved £2200 on data and calls. How accurate their estimation I do not know, but it's nice to be able to use your phone without worrying how much each call, text or mb it is costing you.

I had a similar experience although I would say that the data speed was a lot slower than in the UK.

Doubt the Brexit voters could read them - there you go.

Typical. Just renewed our Vodafone contract last week, and we are going to the Algarve for a fortnight in November. The Feel At Home will be active in Portugal by then. Oh well, 4GB of Euro data, plus unlimited calls and texts will have to do.

damnit! in Portugal now and bought a local SIM for data

Well at least it won't be hideously throttled like it is on Three.

I might be wrong but I don't believe you get 4G speed in the US through the Feel at Home deal...

You don't have to be in the UK, only in a feel at home location then it will be made as a UK call.

Never had such issue

The new countries are not active until September (not sure at what point though).

I hope the addition of Portugal covers Madeira too, we're holidaying there in October.

Brilliant. I bought the 24GB data only SIM for my wife who is a cabin crew. It is very useful when you fly a lot.

Use a local pay phone, very cheap.

I have just finally ditched three after being bugged with reception issues and dropouts for months. They also didn't tell me that travelling abroad you need to tell them first otherwise you can't use your phone and you can only change it by phoning them. They have an Indian call centre and it took me 25 minutes and 3 separate people to get my PAC code today. Finally gone for the 16Gb EE deal with BT Sport. for 6 months. Hopefully now when I try to show someone something online it will actually work. Good riddance to 3.

god damnit. Made them to give me a cheaper deal few weeks ago and they offered me 3£ monthly discount, but said they will cut off "feel at home". I was ok woth it because I was only going to Malta and Latvia in the next ~9 months. Both places were not covered, but now they are and it sucks to not have it.

...or, you could have just logged onto your account and turned international roaming/data on.

But yes, it's probably easier just to blame others for something you could have done yourself....

I've never told them I'm going abroad and have used my phone in like ten different countries over the last year or so.

Had a similar issue getting a PAC code many moons ago though. No trouble since rejoining them, but get excellent reception in South Wales. I think it just depends where you live, round here Vodafone is the only one that's particularly garbage.

Feel at home is brilliant. It does tend to very slow though, so don't expect to be able to stream music or watch videos.

Sweet. I've got a week in the Czech Republic coming up, so this is very welcome news.

You must be new to using a mobile if you didn't know you had to ask for roaming to be activated on your account before going abroad oO

I didn't have the option to turn it on, think you have to go through fully automated call the very first time .

It depends what country you go to, in the USA in Florida the speed was ridiculously throttled. could barely load google maps. A quick search shows I am not alone in this too.

But still can't tether...

Working in netherlands with a three sim for 6 months. I leave in September. God damn.

Anyone know if this applies to id mobile, the car phone warehouse tariff which uses the 3 network?

Finland?

Whenever I was in France with 3, the Feel at Home IP was unusable. It was worse than going back to the days of 300 baud acoustic couplers, RS-232 interfaces and terminals, Prestel and CIX. I had supposedly unlimited Internet with 3 but couldn't even surf basic websites reliably never mind stream. I've had a totally different experience with Vodafone while abroad - using the Internet rather than going back to the 70s. Feel at Home might be free but is it any good? It isn't in my experience.

I've used it in ibiza the last 3years, it's been excellent!!

Shame it's only 3G for data doesn't really feel like at home without 4G

Finally added Amsterdam! I mean Netherlands haha. This will save me so much as I've had to top up a tenner each time I've been this year costing me nearly 50 quid.

I have used Three Feel at Home in New York and Ibiza this year, the connections are awful and only really good for basic web browsing and whatsapp, some navigation as well via gps.

Youtube, Netflix, Spotify etc forget it as it's not gonna happen. Still better than nothing!
