Have they poisoned this with aspartame as well? What am I saying? Of course …Have they poisoned this with aspartame as well? What am I saying? Of course they have, it's Barr. Still, good to see that their stock needs to be heavily discounted to sell it. Fingers crossed that they go to the wall soon.

Nobody drinks fizzy pop as part of their 5 a day. We all know the risks, mostly to our teeth. Yet we still want it. So please let me enjoy my pop in peace.
I miss the pop an coming around in his float with all those bottle 20p each - wish they still did that

Ha, we used to have the Alpine man deliver on a Saturday morning, radioactive coloured Cream Soda was my favourite

Exactly.
Alpine drinks with their reusable glass bottles and screw tops. Recycling ahead of its time with doorstep delivery so low carbon, love a can of Barr's full fat cream soda, much better than the corporate colas set to exploit and price fix if they buy up or kill off all the smaller producers.......now where can I get this Rola cola Peter Kay keeps going on about...?

If you want aspartame free D&B then Tescos own brand, marked as "No added sugar" not diet, uses Sucralose & only 2kcal/100ml. Tastes pretty good & only 50p for 2l bottle.
Anyone remember Corona fizzy drinks? 10p back for the bottle? Probably better for you than all the diet stuff peddled by the big two these days, despite the sugar and the name

Thanks for the info, but what I want is what now seems impossible - traditionally sweetened soft drinks without any form of artificial sweetener.
Why? Because I'm an adult. I very much dislike the taste of artificial sweeteners, and I'm fully aware of the effects of sugar on my teeth, and my waistline and take steps to mitigate them.
Tastes like medicine
For those who may not have a Heron Foods nearby you. Farmfoods have 2 bottles for a £1. But it includes the whole Barr range excluding Iron Brew I believe

I know the £2 we save on this, we can put in a jar for our crowns in a few years time
We got 3 bootles the other day, opened one yesterday , poured some drinks and re-sealed the screw-top lid tightly before popping it back in the fridge. This afternoon went to pour another drink and it was pretty much flat ! Now it maybe that I was unlucky, I'll try another bottle and see if it does the same but not impressed to be honest, even at this price. I think I actually prefer Asda's own brand diet D&B over this as well, tastes much nicer.
Ah well, it was cheap, just expected better
