Please - your advice is just misleading - you really need to read the Ops post properly before commenting , then you may just realis how daft your comment was.

If you have just had an extension on your house (as the OP clearly states) and need to comply with the building regs for providing fire alarms then the free fire alarms the fire service supply will NOT pass their inspection and you will not obtain a completion certificate ...... These alarms are hard-wired with battery back-up and are therefore suitable for new builds/extensions !! Hot from me

Not sure if your reply is correct as these alarms are not interconnected as i think is expected in building regs now.

I think you are right for new builds , but for extensions they do not have to be interconnecting otherwise you would be expecting people to re-wire their whole house because they added a bedroom
I know we didnt need interconnecting for our extension last year.
Always best to check before purchasing anyway

I dare to say Fire Angel make more than just the one fire alarm .... perhaps they were battery ones - similar to the ones the fire service fit for free perhaps ?

Not need to rewire whole house , it is only a 3 core cable you run between the alarms.
