Yes I have mine working with SmartThings via Cloud. They require a bit of setting up though - not plug & play.

See github.com/Dav…ion

Yes, if you add this third party device handler to your hub. Note: Requires some technical knowledge, but there is a walkthrough and it's relativly simple.

If you can find 3 anywhere you’ll be lucky

Thanks OP, managed to get 3. Missed out, last time

loads of stock near me, Leeds. However... maximum of 2 in stock at each store. Heat for price but Argos really need to sort out these 'phantom' deals.

Trying to find info on these on amazon and it says "add to the mihome gateway or ask Alexa" - are these TP link the only alexa compatible plug that works with Alexa without additional equipment?... I've bought my Dad a dot for xmas to use with a new sound bar and would be good to add a few plugs to go with everything.

3 in stock near me. ace.

Thanks OP

Your linked product has a PDF, it states: "Radio Frequency: 433.92Mhz (ISIM band)"

TP-Link smart plugs use 2.4Ghz Wi-FI.

On Amazon there are two different but similar products by Energenie .

TP-Link smartplugs connect to internet themselves. They don't require a bridge/hub say like Samsung smart devices need to. No additional equipment is needed to use these smart plugs.
Both Alexa and Google Assistant will work with these plugs.

However, they do need the Kasa (Android or iOS) App to configure them.

I have 3 of this takes 30 second to setup and it uses an app called Kasa from Tp Link, it's a smart plug and can be used with anything

can anyone reccomend a use for these?
Beyond setting a timer for my slow cooker, i can't think of a further use. i'm getting a google home for xmas, so would love to be convinced to buy some smart plugs!

Turn table lamps/desk lamps on/off
I use one to switch on my PC as the socket is under the desk (PC set to boot up when power switched on)
They have a schedule feature too so you can set times for on/off - e.g. kettle in the morning

got 3 on this offer last time. As mentioned, super easy to setup within a couple of minutes, no additional hardware needed. My Echo controls my tree and other lights in a group with the command "Alexa, turn on/off Christmas!"

Also really easy to set schedules with the Kasa app.

Nice if you can find any....

Xmas tree lights...

Got one yesterday for the Christmas tree lights, it was quick to set up and I'm impressed at the response time when using with Google Home

Work fine with Android phone or tablet alone, use the Kasa app as mentioned above.

Can you explain how you get it to work with the kettle? Make sure the switch is down before the smart plug turns it on, I assume?
