Can someone give me an idea of what they are using these for?

Electric blanket to turn on when in sitting room, and then turn off in bed, Turn on TV and Zidoo media player and surround sound, peace of mind that I've turned off the coffee machine (others use for hair straighteners for same reason), turn on a slow cooker when i'm out and about.
Edit also turn on electric blanket when leaving the pub :-D
Christmas tree lights if hard to reach
You could plug a lamp into one when on holiday or the tv and turn it on for a random hour during the day, might be better than a regularly timed setting.
You can also set up tasks with the app as far as i know, like if you say "Film time" to alexa or click film on the app it will dim the light, turn on the tv and surround sound etc. i haven't found a use for that yet, but multiple switches with one command could be useful from somebody.

We don’t think smart plugs are that useful to most people.
Generally speaking, they’re hard work to set up and most people didn’t really have much use for one. They don’t make much difference to people’s lives, or to their energy bills.

Our advice is: think twice before buying one on a whim. It's best to buy one when you have already identified a specific need in your home.

I have too many of these already so I won't buy another but can vouch for their quality and ease of setup and use

... reserved 3 just in case I change my mind

I wish tplink's switches were 240V too - the HS200-210-220 are US/Canada only for now it seems

All of mine are controlling lights. I do have some of the energy monitoring version, but I only use those to get an idea of my PC/TV etc.
Can anyone tell me how to get these working with harmony hub / remote
These are great. I just wish you could control them via the Hue app. I know it’s a different architecture but would be great.

So a 2kw electric radiator should be fine, right?
Are these safe for a 4K TV?
These would be OK to connect to a anker speaker and chromecast audio to switch on and charge?
Payed £35 from BT couple months ago.. Hot!
