Isn't it amazing that this laptop has no price and it doesn't even take you to the item itself but guess what it's not been pulled up by the site and corrected with the correct details. Less and less people are posting on hear and I am not surprised at all. At one time it was about people posting deals now it posting its own stuff in order to promote adverts and tracked in order to make money.

The guarantee has no price - it's free! The offer applies to the whole range of Apple iPad/Mac products.

I've changed the deal URL to take you to the range several times but it only saves 'johnlewis.com' rather than the whole URL.

Hi there.

Sorry the link isn't quite working properly - I've amended it a few times but it keeps reverting.

I see Buzz has put you in the right direction. Cheers.

Yes, it tends to get posted when the deal is on because it's so much longer than the usual 1 year from Apple etc.

just ordered mini 2 with 3 yrs warranty and got the added (accidental) care for 3yrs for £25! I thought it was a bargain

You have to buy something before it becomes free you can't buy it from Tesco at a lesser price and then go onto John
Lewis then claim free 3 year warranty can you.

No, if you buy it from Tesco then you need to take the guarantee with them, John Lewis will NOT guarantee a product bought from another retailer.

Are you being facetious or are you asking a question?

Apple devices are premium products, or so its marketing department and shepherds would have us believe, yet a 3, 4 or 5 year warranty is not included as standard? Clearly the manufacturer has no faith in the longevity of its premium products.

What does the 25quid cover?

Under UK consumer law Apple now give a 6 year warranty on all their products.

apple.com/uk/…ty/

That should be the same for all retailers, but if you buy an Apple product from John Lewis and take it back to the Genius Bar after a couple of years because it's faulty Apple will send you to John Lewis to sort it out.

I'd recommend always buying any Apple Product direct from Apple because if you book an appointment at the Genius Bar with an iPhone, iPad or iPod fault they'll fix or replace them on the spot.

Added Care covers against accidental damage for the three year guarantee period, with no excess if your laptop needs to be repaired or replaced.

I've bought the majority of my iPhone's direct from Apple and their customer service is second to none. Apple have the benefit of being able to swap things like iPhones, iPads and iPods out immediately if yours is faulty and I've never had to once prove there was a fault at the point of manufacture.

I've taken a few faulty phones back there and they have always replaced them or swapped out the screen if need be. I even bought a iPhone 5 that was over 2 years old from eBay a month ago that had a slight screen fault. I took it into Apple to see how much it would cost to fix it and they replaced the screen for free citing UK consumer law as the reason they were doing it for free.

Not saying the John Lewis warranty isn't good, but if you take a faulty product back there, be prepared to be without it for a considerable amount of time before its fixed.

Joke? *fewer *here

Seems they have removed this now as it was still available on the macbooks I was interested in up until last friday. Any idea how often run these 3 year warranty deals? I've noticed this has been up earlier in the year.
