If you start to worry about what goes on with the Animal/Birds before you go to eat them, Then you would end-up eating Cornflakes everyday for the rest of your life.

I very much doubt that. There's nothing wrong with caring about animals and their welfare.

Some people are vegetarian so wouldn't actually be eating the animal but will eat eggs & dairy products from ethical sources.

How does your argument with the cornflakes work? Wouldn't you need milk for them? Wouldn't they be worrying about the cow?

The truth is I'm working on a Private golf club just now, But even when I worked in the Hotels & Restaurant trade we always used the cheapest eggs available & I have never ever have been asked by a customer "are the Eggs you serve Free Range" :?

I know some people do like to make a fuss about nothing, for crying out loud they want to pay OTT price for Free Range eggs because they feel sorry for a chicken & then they go & eat it's Kid.

Agree that the catering side of business use the cheap-est (:whistling:) of what they can get.
But you do have to feel sorry sometimes for the chicken as some do not have the best of lives.

Now off to have a egg butty! :w00t::-D

tbh we need to start worrying about the lifes of humans and the conditions they live in at the poor end of the scale rather than chickens. lol.
no one would care if there wasnt a tv program about it. no ones actually interested in researching where thier food comes from... just finding it out while they put thier feet up and watch tv. And then taking the moral high ground when anyone cant actually afford this free range stuff.
priorities are in wrong place these days.

Hell yeah, if people bought quality food there would be no cash left for booze, fags, console games and other similar useless crap...

There was a guy dropped his tray of eggs in asda car park last week, poor guy, most smashed on the floor, i felt sorry for him!.

Just a week or so earlier, and they would have all landed in snow, :w00t:

sorry dad! you know best seeing as you know more about my life and where i'm heading in the future career wise than i do myself. never knew that pointing out a persons irrelevant comment at the beginning of this thread would have me out of my career as a trainee dentist and land me into cleaning toilets. if i need a life coach i'll come see you pops!

yasmo, I have to admit I have no idea what Shengis was on about with that post but my point (perhaps poorly made), was that your comment was actually also 'irrelevant' to the thread (ALL of what we have BOTH said is irrelevant to the thread). I in turn made a comment about your post but you went on the defensive which was the effect that my wording was designed achieve, I was 'reflecting' your style of attack. I think you let yourself down with at least one of your choice of words in your original post (just my opinion). There's nothing wrong in challenging someone on what they have to say but putting your point across in an intelligent and professional manner immediately lends weight to your position. You're obviously and intelligent person, don't lower your standards.

Anyway, we digress (yet again! :-D). May I wish you good luck with your future career and say that I hope it works out for you and that you go on to become a caring professional.

....back on topic!.....

thanks for posting, good price but prob not a lot more egg for your money than Iceland's 15 large eggs for £1.50.
And no, they aren't free range either.
