Got both £20 and £30 for £100 spend on my gold card. I wonder if I’ll get £50 back on a single £100 spend.

Valid point!
Can it be spent just solely on alcohol?

I spent one before on a couple of bottles of vodka

Don’t see why not. Amex doesn’t know what you buy and HN has no way of knowing that you’re using a promotion as it triggers on the Amex side.
Exactly. It was like the amazon deal they did before and people buying gift cards, like myself. Not an issue for cashback.
The one thing I always like is these amex deals are sleepers...no handing over a code or voucher...but you can combine them when say a retailer who has an amex deal ongoing has there own promotion like Debenhams.
I usually buy a HN gift card in-store to use at a later date. The gift cards can’t be used online though.

I know the t&cs say no gift cards but it has worked the last 3 times I’ve used this offer.

Likewise I do same with certain deals...I think my best ever was yeara ago £25 back on a £50 spend at Argos so I bought a £50 m & s gift card and then went to m & s and when walked in store was given a £5 off £50 spend so in theory got £30 worth of shopping free.
Do they sell anything at non inflated prices?

Most of their branded items are in line with standard RRPs for those brands (ie pricey). At least what I’ve seen of the clothing, accessories and beauty.

Food hall is nice on its own. I think I spent one of these deals in past on food from their website.
Has anyone had any luck with redeeming both the £20 off + £30 off on the same £100 transaction?

I just made a purchase of alcohol only, got a message from Amex of £20 discount only. So now will need to speak to their customer service.

That's not promising :/ the £30 appeared last night for me, £20 appeared this afternoon. Have saved both...
Not on my BA AMEX. But heat anyway!
I’m thinking of getting a Costco Amex, would promotions such as this one and the recent amazon one work with the Costco card?
Edited by: "shopper32" 10th May 2019
I’ve got both
Does anyone know if you get promotions like this on the AMEX Platinum Everyday Card?

However, for the first year (switch to the one above after) I'd recommend go for the fee (£25) version for the higher rates of cashback. Do the maths on what you'll spend, but chances are you'd still be better off. americanexpress.com/uk/…0KA
