My local Ford Garage quoted me £255 per Continental Sport Contact 2 235/45W 98, my local garage £200 per tyre. Quick fit price when buying 4 is £147.30 per tyre a saving of £107 per tyre for me.

Agree, if you can get a local garage to match then this is better. Actually on the Kwik Fit site it lets you produce aquote with this offer a prints a PDF quote with refernce number. Very handy for taking around places and asking them to price match!

Black circle price for my tyre is : £182.41 Kwk fit price with this deal is £147.30 per tyre.

Black circle:
Continental Sport Contact 2
235/45 R18 W (98)Reinforced
£182.41

Kwik fit:
CI235/45W18SPT2 Continental Cont-Sport 2 235/45W1 £147.30 (when buying four) £178.87 when buying two or more

im experience kwik fit can easily be beaten on price along with the likes of ats etc et The regional and locals are always cheaper. Good find though for those where no locals that can or will compete.

Impossible if you dont know the size

This is expensive! I can get Michelins (I forget which model, but size is 205/55W16) for my Focus from a garage in Derby (Brittania Tyres) for about £70 a pop! No need to buy 2/3/4 tyres, that is the price of one! Only one that beats them for price at Kwik Fit is the Debica brand - oh be still my beating heart...

exactly!

you cant get sh&tter than a kwik-fit fitter. Blew my engine up with an oil filter change and snapped off the battery lead as the guy thought you just pulled them off!

Have I missed it - the link doesn't say anywhere if this includes charges for fitting or not?

hot deal, thanks op
don't forget to check etyres & event tyres for price comparison - this kwik fit offer saves me £15 per tyre

highly reccomend anyone looking for tyres in the midlands area to check out 'martini tyres ' 'qualcast road, wolverhampton' the cheapest i can find anywhere, well worth travelling too .. hope it helps someone .. or even call them for a price and get it priced matched somewhere else if they'll keep their price match garantee---------------- but they usually cant !!!! telephone number is 01902 452955

You know why they call it Kwik Fit; that's what you do when you get the bill.

They wanted £55 for their cheapest tyre for my mondeo, called the local independent and they quoted £38 for a mid range tyre as they were out of budget ones.

Only idiots, desperate people, businessmen, people who don't know better and a lucky few that get a cheap quote go to quick fit.

They did my tracking the other day, I was desperate; it's still pulling to the left and the ABS brake warning light started coming on the day after they did it - coincidence? Is that just the pads?

I always use www.etyres.co.uk excellent service fitted at work or home and always cheaper than tyre depots with the added bonus of not being treated to hard sell tactics and not having your car handled by irks with attitude problems.

A good deal for those tyres, ]Tyre Shopper are quoting £199 a tyre.

what tyres?

Car tyres are like car insurance... you need em, so you get em!

It pays if you can shop around for a bit, but if you are stuck and need a tyre fast then deals dont matter!

Gonna vote warm on this, as I think the deal is something that just puts their prices about level with others and hence shopping around is still a sensible offer!

This is very expensive... I get low walled Goodyear F1s for a hell of a lot cheaper

Always used Etyres as the Cheapest Before for Premium Tyres. This time: Etyres £213.20 for 4 x 155/65/14 Continental Eco Contact Tyres. Using this Deal its £187.20 with Kwik Fit. Heat Added:thumbsup:

Thanks, the all inclusive cost adds about 10 pounds per tyre for fitting, and disposal. So slightly less money saving than I was hoping for.

lol @ this...you'll never get heat from a Kwik-Fit deal...Been there done that lol

Having looked at a couple of tyres at both Kwik-Fit and etyres, some are cheaper at one place, whilst others are cheaper at the other. So, this is a good deal for some tyres, and, as always, anyone interested should always compare before any purchase.

A question - considering that tyres are the only thing between the car and the road, how do you choose which ones / how much to spend? Why would you choose Goodyear, rather than Michelin, or which ever?

Also, I notice that etyres price includes fitting & tracking, but does the Kwik Fit price?

It's all about the level of quality, grip and how many miles you will get out of them.

Top of the range Goodyear, BF Goodrich, Yokohama (etc) ranges will generally offer better grip and durability (less likely to split on the tyre walls etc) than your cheap tyres...

I remember when kwik-fit were doing a deal about 8 years ago - 4 tyres for £40 and I bought some just before I part ex'd an old Nova, the tyres made a screeching noise when cornering on dry roads at speeds which were not excessive.... great fun to listen to but the grip in the wet was truly awful....

I can notice a huge difference in grip when driving in my goodyear F1s compared to my girlfriends cheap and cheerful ones.

I always go for Michelin - you gets what you pay for with tyres I'm afraid. Have got about 25k out of my front pair atm and still got a few k left in em I reckons!

Kwik Fit will also tell you that you need a new exhaust, brake pads, air con top up and your battery is low. This company are the up sell king. I once had an oil change done by them and they failed to tighten the sump plug. Result oil patch on drive and new refill. Use em with caution is my advice.

Have to say in Kwikfit's defence, the Welwyn Garden City branch are great. It happens to be opposite my office and they've fixed 2 punctures for me, and not charged me a penny.
Also used them for tyres when I had a company car & service was always spot on.

Depends on the guys in the branch I suppose.
