What content is included in the trial please? Currently using that but wondered if it is restricted access? Thanks
I’ve used Reaper and Reason but I just couldn’t get in with the Ableton way of working. With so many free VSTs around though, it’s a golden time to get into music production.

I think it's got everything included in the standard edition, someone else can probably advise better though
Is it me, or does FL Studio still seem better value, even with 30% knocked off?

The problem I'm finding with free ones is there are so many, and it's not clear what does what.

Any recommendations?

You can usually find reviews online, even of the free ones. Vst4free.com is a good starting point. Vendors such as plugin boutique also have lots of free ones available, with reviews.

You might like Computer Music magazine, especially May 2020 Issue 281 - "Make Music For Free!". They include lots of free plugins to get you going.
Heat! Been using Ableton for 8 years and couldn't recommend it enough. Switched from Logic and FL.

Just been playing around a bit more, did you go into the packs section on the left hand toolbar, there's loads of extras to download from there
Yes the packs are very good! I’ve downloaded about half so far
