Update 1
Prices have come down further e.g. The King Size refurb Simba mattress is now £189 with the 30% off applied at checkout (previously was £217 when first posted). Plus combine with the 10% code PAYDAYMAR to get for £170.10.
***EDIT @ 11:00 27/03/2019 = Seems they are now OOS on normal sized mattresses with Grey covers. However the grey/white cover versions are still available in King and Double sizes amongst others at a price of £195.30***

These are supposedly £700 when new.
30% off the usual eBay price - all sizes available.
I will say this though - I notice they've put the prices up a bit (This King Size was £280 previously, and now £310 before the 30% discount brings it down to £217).

I understand these are mattresses that were returned under the 100 day trial.
They santize them and place a brand new cover on top.
I already purchased a double last time they were on offer and it seemed to be pretty much brand new on inspection.

I guess you could buy one of these and a brand new one and send the refurb back under the 100 day trial.

How do you even refurbish a mattress?

In the case of the double we received recently, the cover was replaced with a brand new one and the interior foam seemed to have been disinfected. Certainly there was a strong disinfectant odour that made us leave the mattress to air for a day before using it.

What code pray tell ?
Many thanks OP "Your order was placed." !!! Will let you know about condition, but from Argos £699 to a refurb £217 it's got to be worth a punt....

Me.
As above, the double that I received recently may as well be new.
It feels medium tension.
Pretty decent overall though I cannot understand why these are so expensive brand new. I wouldn't pay the normal £600+ price tag.
Have been thinking about a Simba for some time but have been put off by the 4% negatives/neutrals of just the last 6 months. The comments about quality/smell and delivery make me think that simbasleep is not part of Simba but a third-party company that buys in the "refurbs" and the sells them on eBay??

Anyone able to add to this please??
I paid £280 for a refurb King-size, really good quality mattress & decent customer service even on ebay. My advice.... Don't flinch..... Buy

Like I said in my original opening post, these are most likely the mattresses that people have returned under the 100 day trial that Simba offers on their mattresses. They are apparently so confident of their product that they allow people to return them for whatever reason within 100 days of purchase.
It would seem that those mattresses are then sanitised and a new cover put over them and sold on.
The name 'simbasleep' that you are querying is the name of the company. Even their website.
This looks to be an official route for selling on the mattresses that people have returned.

We bought one two months ago when the price was £280. It's so good that I'm not even fussed it's a lot cheaper now, its still a bargain. Ours had no marks or smells like a small number of people have reported and may as well have been brand new. Just my two cents
I might give it a trial!!!!

I'm always amazed at the sneaky methods people seem to come up with instantly.
We bought two some time back when there was a discount code on eBay. It was damaged and the transporting company had to return it. On contacting Simba, they sent us two brand new vacuum packed mattresses. Very comfortable and we got a bargain

I'm still waiting for a comment on how comfortable or otherwise these are against say a Silentnight mattress
A month early though as I need to empty the bedroom I use as a comp room and repaint recarpet then buy a new comp table install that etc etc etc before I get a bed in to make it a bedroom again

I've had a king-size one and it's been really good. Really comfy if a little on the medium side. Would recommend. I've just ordered two doubles last night. It's a bargain for 216£.

Too many variations on Silentnight mattresses to give a 'one opinion fits all' response.
For what it's worth, I ordered a Silentnight Miracoil ortho mattress around the same time as the Simba double.
The Simba (when new) is worth 2 or 3 times the price of the Silentnight.
The Silentnight is really quite firm (despite being labelled as medium); the Simba is a medium tension.
The Simba is the better of the two in this specific comparison, but there are loads of different Silentnight mattresses - some of which will be far superior to the Simba (and with a very high price tag too).

To be honest, just order the Simba mattress - it's a no brainer - just read the comments (in just this thread alone let alone the wider internet) from those who have purchased one already.

Are these endorsed by Ali G i.e. Staines massive?
Anyone know if this is really the new White/Blue model? The ebay listing shows white/blue one in the photos, but the buy option says it is white/gray in the drop down.

EXCELLENT answer.
Cracking deal got a double for £180 instead of £649! Tempted to get a king too; not sure I need one yet, but seems like a ridiculously good price!
Nice one got a king size saved me alot of money, anyone know if they are delivered in a polythene bag ?

How did you manage to get the double for £180? Comes out at £260 for me

Add it to your basket and the 30% off is automatically applied.
The king is 217 in my basket.
UK double coming up at £260 is there a code or have I missed it.

Cheers

Well, I've just ordered a king size now.
Don't actually need it, but you know how it is when a bargain is dangled in front of you.
