After Brexit this will be the only form of air defence we could afford.

I got excited till I saw the word simulator. Still a great deal though.

I feel the need . The need for speed .

One of the only times in 48 year's I wish I drove as I live in Essex but have some heat!

Having looked at the website, I get the impression this is a static simulator rather than hydraulic.

What the point of a static simulator? I would have the whole point would be to feel the aircraft pitch and rolling.

Static but better than any home pc an a £20 joystick I reckon

No!

Been there done that when I went supersonic in an F-18. Also hovered a Harrier once.

Simulator!!!! why fool yourself? It’s not the same thing!!!!!!

Woah an F-16 fighter pilot experience for under 50 quid!! Incredible..

Oh its a simulator never mind still the experience of feeling the aircrafts rolls and movements will still be decent for that price

..Static simulator .. nooo this deal had so much potential 😞

Nope! Must be an F-16 cockpit with the ability to switch between other aircraft such as the F-18.

You expected a real flight in a military fast jet for £50? You can go to Russia and fly a Mig 29 if you have a spare £15k or so you dreamer Side note, before the Shoreham disaster which changed things immensely (legally etc). I was planning a flight with the Hunter flight academy in an beautiful old British Hawker Hunter T7 (non afterburning and much less consumption than an F-16) The cost was £3000 and that was basically fuel costs and would have maybe got 40 mins flight.

Edit: here you go, enjoy. migflug.com/jet…tml

Ignorance. We all know that cyber is the future of warfare. This is exactly how countries will need to defend themselves.

But you don’t get the full “experience” of driving to a tin shed in Yorkshire, drinking a complimentary cup of tea and then getting dressed up like an absolute bell in flight suit and helmet to sit in a cardboard cockpit

I think people are being a bit unfair. Whilst it may be static it looks like it will be quite immersive. Air forces use similar facilities for pilot training.

Look at the gallery on their website.

This sounds like that time all of the American generals in Vietnam said that the F-4 doesn't need an internal cannon as missiles are the future.... Look how that turned out for the USAF pilots when they came up against the Migs. This thing is just a basic flight sim however. I you have a good enough PC and a flight stick etc to play it on, you can download DCS: World for free (two free aircraft) It's arguably the best flight sim available today, but you can't defend a nation with it sadly

were you really expecting to pilot a 20 millon USD war machine????

I'd rate a VR experience in a modern flight sim to be more immersive than this.

Admittedly that needs you to own close to a grand's worth of kit...... but you get a hell of a lot more for your investment.
