AFAIK Walkers and Golden Wonder are made on exactly the same production lines, Walkers apparently now own the GW brand and run off a few to keep the Monopolies and Mergers Commission at bay.

The children had the same opinion of Lidl/Aldi chocolate bars, they would much have the own brands than Cadbury/Nestlé/Mars; even before Kraft destroyed Cadbury.

It is the adults who have difficulty accepting the brands; I used to put Lidl brand tea & coffee in Typhoo/Nescafé containers, and the staff never noticed; yet if I left it in the Lidl packaging, they all moaned about how horrible it was.
Normally get the 24 pack for 96p on superweekend

These are really nice - as crisps go, and the portion sizes are still decent. our ASC and Holiday club children preferred these to Walkers Crisps.
Agree with Gentle giant, lovely crisps

Was just about to say the same. At least you get a bit more variety with these.

Their XXL deals rarely seem to be better value than their regular products.

I've been told this by someone who worked at Lidl, but as she said, it's likely to change randomly!

The only real problem with offers from Lidl - and possibly Aldi; is that they do not seem to be run as a national chain; but more like regional franchises; so some products are available in the West Country or around London, but not in the Midlands, Wales etc.

I noticed this a few years back; products were "no longer available to order" according to my local branch and area managers, but still appearing on the shelves in the south-east and south-west.

And more than once, specials advertised in the leaflets failed to turn up at all.

Golden Wonder are horrible imo, both in taste and texture.
That's a great price and worth it despite the fact 2 packets will be bust open and another couple will be heat sealed into the seem of the outer wrapper.

Made by KP by the way - not Walkers afik.
