Useful Thanks for the pointer edi ;-)

Very useful set

Whilst this appears a good bit of kit to keep in the glove box for that unexpected emergency, on closer inspection I have a few concerns.

1. There only appears to be a very limited supply of sockets, and small ones at that.
2. There doesn't appear to be a socket wrench. Only a screwdriver attachment is supplied. These usually snap as soon any any significant torque is applied such as required to loosen even lightly corroded fixings
3. The jump leads don't appear 'meaty' enough to start anything but the smallest of cars - probably better suited to a motorcycle to be honest.

I've a feeling anyone buying this kit for emergency use will find themselves even more frustrated if they try to use it under such conditions.

I agree, you could buy most of these items seperate and still have change out of your tenner. And please no-one ever buy jump leads that are not heavy duty as the only thing you will chrage is the plastic coating around them. Trust me I fried my mates cheap set of jumpleads earlier this year.

Not knocking you edi on your find as you are superb almost 100% of the time, just warning people incase they expect to be able to jump start their car with those leads, they won't.

I disagree.

I purchased this kit about 7 months ago for the same price for my Peugoet 307, used to have problems starting it when weather was cold. The sparks work fine for me....they are not the longest in the world, but managed to get my 307 started ok. I have since sold my 307 but have used the jumps to jump start my fathers transit van and my mates Clio....so they are not that bad!
