Looks like a good deal.
Does anyone know what the coverage etc is like with Virgin mobile?
Also, i've looked but can't see on the site any info about porting over an existing number...is this possible? Will try and get the answer from VM but in the meantime if anyone has direct knowledge it would be appreciated.
TIA

Got this offer about six months ago. There was a maximum of 2 per customer and we got two free Lobster 575 phones (nice little flip ones). No problem with coverage over here in N Ireland. I'm sure Virgin uses T Mobile network.

I have had this also for about 6 mths, but never got a phone with it though. I aint never had a problem with the reception or anything, Im in london.

I believe that you can port over your old number because I was considering doing it with my t-mobile number.

Is there a contract on the sim only offer? im guessing not from what I can see

Yep no problem porting the number over - I did and it was very straightforward

Does Anyone Know Which Model Of Phone You Would Get? Cheers

Thanks for this, just completed the order. The £10 a month for 300mins + 300texts is a Sim-only offer with what looks like no fixed contract (i.e. no minimum term).

They also offer a £10 12-month contract with phone (Samsung J600, C300 (black or pink) and Nokia 2310) but you only get 100mins + 100texts a month.

Can anyone confirm if these are any time any network minutes? seems a very good deal if it is, much better than the contract I'm on with Orange at the moment which gives me 100 any network and 50 landline minutes per month for £20. granted I did get a free V3i when I took out the contract but it ends soon.

And with this exclusive monthly tariff you'll pay just £10 a month.

You can use the airtime in your package to make calls and send texts to any UK network, at any time.

Plus any unused minutes / texts get carried over for 1 month only

yeah i had to put in my old account number, the one i had since joining ntl 10 years ago, they changed them a few months ago now.

they seem to be still advertising the 300min/300txt deal for a £10 but i have in the past been refused any of their mobile offers because seemingly i have bad credit :? which is news to me and they must have forgot aswell since when i went for them offers i already had a virgin mobile account lol.

But i will try again, i heard on another forum if your address is slightly off they will refuse you and instead of my address showing flat number first it shows street number so now that thats corrected i hoe i get my sim card with 300txts aand 300 min even though i think it should have reverted back to 100min/100txt by the end of september.

do your minutes and/or texts roll-over if you don't use your monthly allowance?

Cheers, will probably switch from Vodafone, just found out they've taken off the £14 credit per month I had negotiated the last time my contract was up (without notifying me), because I'm out of my tie-in period

1 question

Am coming to the end of my first month, do i have to do anything to get next months 300 free texts and minutes or will it be all done automatically?

Is this anynetwork anytime?

Yes, and the minutes/texts can be carried forward for one month. Think I'm getting deja vu

As said before, they use T Mobile and I had to suffer an 18 month contract with them a little while ago after not getting a reception in my house which is in the middle of Edinburgh!!! (and they would not budge on my contract becaued of this) so will never use them again

As there is no contract alot of people might be willing to risk it to see how the reception might be for them
