Ready to get some of the good stuff? Our exclusive Virgin Mobile deal gives you 300 minutes and 300 texts for just £10 a month. There's no contract to sign. Simply keep the phone you've got, slip in a new SIM, and you're ready to go!

Best of all, you're one of the lucky ones - that's because this offer's only available to Virgin Media cable customers. Nice!

I got this offer with my ADSL non cable broadband, I was already with Virgin on the mobile for some time so the deal is open to all if you have a virgin product else where

Cheers for that, I just thought it was for peeps on pay as you go.

'subject to payment by Direct Debit and UK credit check'

So that rules out about 60% of the population lol

This is the same allowance as their £25/month contract over 18 months (12 month contract is only 200 mins & texts). Unfortunately I don't have Virgin broadband...!

ive just transfered my number onto this deal last week, thats me £25 a month better off after leaving orange!!!!!!

Just about to get the wife's number ported from orange to this but need a virgin phone.... Any thoughts on a decent phone with camera for under £50 on the virgin network????

Hi, Good deal I have been on it for about 7 months. I am also going to change my wife's Vodaphone contract to this when her current deal expires in about 1 month.

Also don't forget Quidco £8 for each sale (sales do not include contracts or top-ups)

Adrian

Does anyone know if you can get a data add-on with this deal?

I have the virgin fly slt 100, touchscreen camera phone, was £39.99 from dixons, but might have gone up to £49.99 now. Also available from the link, currys and maybe argos. There is a long thread about it on here if you do a search. I think it's great.
Alternatively, can't you just unlock her current phone? That might at least give you some time to look around for a good deal on a new one. Finally, Virgin sent me a free basic phone when I rang up to say that my old one had broken, I was already a customer though. I used the free one while I looked around for a new one.

I got 2 of these sims before Christmas, much better deal than the O2 contract I was on for £35. Now leave one at home for the missus to use to call the kids and 1 for me, transfered my old No aswell.. Good thing is there is no 12 month contract, after the first month you can cancel anytime (might be 1 month notice).

what phone is it? might be able to get it unlocked

This is a very good deal as Virign Mobile charge £20 a month for this if your not a Virign Media customer!

I know Virgin uses the T-Mobile network, so does anyone know if a t-mobile phone would work with a Virgin sim??

Not bad. I think o2 does it better if you pay thge extra fiver:

If you fail the credit check they'll offer you a pay-and-go offer where they debit the £10 a month from your airtime balance.

I got this deal as well, I was paying £40+ a month before on O2 so glad I changed...and the great thing is you can have more than one SIM, they are £10/month each so give them to partner etc. Coverage is pretty good most places (except my house of all places!!) :?

Defo worth it tho...

I was with Virgin but my contract expired about 2 months ago. Havent had a phone since cause ive been looking for a new deal lol. Was gonna go with 3 mobile but now seen this. Who should i call? Dial 789 from my phone? Ive got Virgin broadband so i should be entitled to it. Only bad thing is they dont offer a phone lol

It worked for me on 2 phones and since then bought another phone that had been on the Virgin network, This deal is great they even roll over your unused allowance into the next month. Changed from TMobile after 7 years to this deal, when all I asked for was upgrade phones and the discount offered online. Because I was an existing customer they could not do the discount and I would have to pay for the phones. Contract was for two phones 150mins no rollover no texts. It seems ironic that Virgin uses their network lol:thumbsup:

Seadon - I believe it will, I've seen people say that they do in other posts although perhaps someone could be more definite??? :?

I'm on this deal too, it's great, they roll over unused minutes/texts from the previous month too so I always seem to end up with around 500 minutes/texts each month :-D

Trying to persuade the missus to go on it but she claims she never spends over £10 a month on PAYG anyway...Hmmmm.....

It will work. I am 100% sure as my current phone is locked to T-Mobile but I can use my Virgin SIM card in it (it will not accept any other networks).

Sound like a hot deal - will look into changing to this...

Voted Hot!!!

BTW, does anyone know if these free minutes are cross network and landline free?

Seen them doing a similar deal before, sounds very good.

I'm currently using Orange Out There which gives me 5 free txts a day without ever having to top up and Blyk in another phone - 217 free txts, 43 mins without topping up. Neither of these roll over though, very cool that Virgin roll the minutes/txts into the next month!!!

So yeah, are the minutes usable for calls to all networks and landlines, just excluding premium numbers?

HOT!

Edit: And I'm assuming if a Virgin broadband contract was cancelled in a few months, they'd chop the phone too? Or are you on it for life after signing up as a customer?

yep 300 anytime any network mins and 300 anytime any network txts, with only a one month rolling contract, unused txts/mins roll on to next month, you cant go wrong.
Been on this for a year now, no issues with network coverage or issues with my bill, HIGHLY recommended!

Btw - Most T-Mobile/one2one locked phones will work with Virgin, and if you don't have one but have a Nokia laying around - remember most Nokia's pre-2007 can be unlocked via IMEI (free)

It seems that my question posted on the original thread has already been answered here. Cannot believe the other thread dragged 6 pages without anyone asking whether the minutes were cross network!!

What I wanted to know was it says £10 each month but do you actually get that £10 on your airtime to use or does the £10 simply go to Virgin? Reason being I am currently with Orange and for £10 topup each month I get 300 free minutes as well as 300 free texts and 4mb of internet usage and to top it off the £10 is added to my airtime!

Can anyone tell me how much it costs if you run over your monthly minutes. All I can find on the website is this: If you pay by Direct Debit, then you need to make sure that you're within your credit limit.

Unfortunately I have run over and when I try for balance it tells me you have zero minutes remaining and 220 texts.

Credit limit is the maximum loan arrangement a person has with their bank. This is a PAYG sim so just top-up as per usual and get the prices from the T&C's. :-D

Thanks Archer. Will top-up now (and hide phone from daughter) I usually have minutes to carry over into next month except when she get a hold of it.

We have 2 phones on this deal and it's brilliant as, previoulsy mentioned, the calls are cross network. My daughter is always textting and still never uses all her texts or minutes, it's way cheaper than pay as you go because the bill before was always more than a tenner.

Does the £10 per month mobile work even after I cancel my adsl service from Virgin? I'm planning to leaving Virgin's adsl in two months.

Is the £10 added to airtime or does it go straight to virgin?

am pretty sure that if you stop using other virgin media , it jumps up to the normal tariff of £20 a month - still not bad, but the £10 is brill and the savings are worth factoring in to the package costs

Can you port a number online or did you have two phone up?
as its only open 8-8

wow sounds like a great deal! anyone can get this? I can't find it on O2's site, is there more information of how to get 300 txt and 1000 free min per month for £5?

left Vodafone for this deal 3 weeks ago.
So far I'm getting consistent service wherever I go and no more several hours delays on receiving/sending texts! Vodafone really are bad compared to Virgin/T-mobile.
Vodafone even made me go in to a shop to do the number port - said my number has so many double digits in it that people might try to nick it over the phone!
Offered me £5 to stay - despite me explaining that reason for leaving was poor/no reception at home and work.
Took a week to port - did not receive a confirmatory text as Virgin said I would, just had to wait for the phone to ring to confirm changeover.
For some reason has taken 2 weeks for the voicemail service to be available with the "1" button - worked ok on 222 whilst I was waiting.

With Virgin when they DD £10 from your account does the £10 get added to your airtime or don't you get to use the £10 they take?
