Wouldn’t you like a card that can take you - and someone special - away sooner? With the British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card.

For a limited time, as a member of the British Airways Executive Club, you’ll receive an exclusive 30,000 bonus Avios when you spend £3,000 in the first three months of Cardmembership - just be sure to apply before 31 January 2019, via the link in this email2. That’s already enough for a Club Europe return flight to Rome, Barcelona or Nice*.

Terms and Conditions

1. Terms and Conditions apply to Avios redemptions. Spend is accumulated within a Cardmember’s membership year and only one voucher can be earned per membership year. Reward flights and Companion Voucher bookings are subject to availability. Redeem your Avios for a British Airways reward flight and you can use the voucher to take anyone you choose to fly with you in the same cabin. Detailed information on Companion Vouchers can be found [here] (britishairways.com/tra…_gb) or by calling 0844 493 0750 (calls cost 7ppm plus your telephone company access charge)

2. Offer available to new Cardmembers only. If you have had a British Airways American Express Card in the last six months you will not be eligible for the bonus Avios. Apply before midnight on 31 January 2019 and 30,000 bonus Avios will be awarded onto your Account once you have been approved and you have spent a minimum of £3,000 on goods and services to the Account within three months of Account opening. Please note this offer is subject to change, this is not an offer to upgrade and it can take up to four weeks for bonus Avios to be awarded to your Account.

3. For the British Airways American Express Premium Plus Card, you will be awarded 1.5 Avios for every £1 spent and charged per transaction, and 3 Avios for every £1 you spend direct on British Airways flights and holidays. Avios are not earned on Balance Transfers, Cash Withdrawals, American Express Travellers Cheques purchases, Foreign Exchange, interest, any spending in excess of your credit limit, charges for returned payments, late payment or referral charges and American Express Credit Card finance charges. Written details available on request.

For those thinking of collecting "airmiles" have a read of HeadForPoints to see if this card is for you.....for most first timers, the easiest and cheapest is Amex Gold Charge Card not the BA Amex, as the BA Amex is £195 from the first day. The Gold card is free for a year.

Don’t think the link is account specific so the URL should work for anyone BA Exec club member.
Or get a referral from an existing cardholder and get bonus Avios!?

I would echo windym's comments. Headforpoints has a great intro for beginners collecting points on cards.

The BAPP card is good if you make good use of it: travelling a lot with BA.
£195 annual fee is worthwhile if you spend £10k+, qualify for a companion voucher and use it on a long haul business class flight
Have the fees gone up as I just did a dummy booking, LON to the USA and it’s £620 for 1 adult return in Club?

Yes they have, a couple of months ago
Does upgrade from BA Amex card ( blue card) to the BAPP eligible for the bonus?
Use a referral, not the link from here. You get more points then.
Also worth noting that if you hit the 3k target and then cancel the annual fee is refunded pro rata.
Hotukdeals probably blocking referrals as they won't get their commission then
Anyway of getting this if I’m not a BA member?
A referral link will get you more Airmiles
I would agree the Amex charge gold card is well worth it for collecting points. Purchased a view high value items including a car, resulting in lots a points. Although not quite sure what to do with it.
Gold card is the way to go, recommended someone hit both spends and then cancel, and repeat 6 months later to get new offers. Been doing this for years.

Does the points not expire if you don't have at least one amex card after 30 days? Or do you hit the £3k target, get the points and spend it and then cancel. And wait 6 months to do it again?

Hit the target, covert to Avios then cancel ... And repeat 6 months later.

Don't you to have at least one AMEX card to keep the Avios points live? As I thought that the Avios point would expire if you don't have at least one amex card?

No, because on the Gold card once you convert then from the card to the BA Executive Club they don't get converted back to your Amex...
anyone got a screenshot of this offer ?
