While this may look like a good deal.........DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP.

I am using this very model right now and the build quality is terrible. The case WILL crack in the corners - even if you put it on a desk and never move it.

The cause is a poor quality build, and too thin a plastic. Simply resting your wrists on the top will put enough pressure on the flimsy front corners to have them cracking within weeks, which leads to them crumbling.

- I can see the motherboard through the gaps.

I know this is a known problem as my mother has a highgrade laptop which uses exactly the same case, and the same problem occurred. She called highgrade who confirmed this as a know fault.

If you want a repair battle with these ppl in a few months, go for it. If you want a good quality laptop, look elsewhere.

Jesus. I'd be shouting loud sweary words at the shop until I got a refund for that. The Sales Of Goods acts says that things have to be of reasonable quality and durable enough to not see motherboard through the cracks, and you're entitled to a refund if it's that bad.

Yep I agree, bought one of these from dixons been back
to the shop, waited six weeks for the return, still had the same
problems once returned. DVD burner has never worked the
laptop came back with bits missing (I guess the techie forgot
to put everything back.

biggest piece of ***** going!

dont waste your hard earnt dosh
