2-3m days is a serious wait time

whooops meant 2-3 days

Perfect - just building an extension at home, and need to drop a few network cables down from the hub upstairs. Saves me buying a reel and crimping the ends on myself :o)

it's not cross over, it's not solid core...cold.

Are you joking????

Only Cat5 as well

I have had three of these so far, all I can say is don't man-handle it, it will fall apart like a flower petal. Other than that it does the job perfectly and being a student I stand by my from the bottom up philosophy.

You wouldn't use solid for a patch cable and crossover cables are rarely necessary these days.

Only Cat5 as well

Cat 5e, which will be more than sufficient for most.

Perfect. I was about to post in the for sale/wanted to see if anyone had some cat5 scuffing about.

Heat added.

Bought 5 of these to wire up the house, need a switch box and sockets now.

I didn't see that in the Kama Sutra.. what chapter is that ?

it does the job amazingly if u dont have a wifi dongle, or if u want to use ethernet cable! okay its not top of the range, look at the price!

Surely this is now cheaper than rope! How much weight can this hold?

Ordered thanks - Heat Added

For those who don't need the full 30m, I bought this 20m cable the other day as a cheap and easy way to connect my new TV to the router:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000IAJHQ0

It dispatched the day I ordered it and turned up the next morning by Royal Mail First Class. at that price I figure you can't go wrong.

Same seller.

Cheers this will be good to install wifi drivers every time I jump ship to a new Linux distro on my desktop. I can't stand gnome 3 in it's current state and I'm having difficulties finding a Debian based KDE distro I can actually get along with... looks like I'm going to have to try SUSE Linux (I know not Debian based )

Well spotted. I hadn't even realised!

Other than beaming it over, I can't envisage a faster delivery time.

Thanks OP. Ordered.

Lovely price for this, thanks

Smashin', just ordered. Hot.

Usually I'd say great but there are lots of bad stories about this breaking when only minimally twisted etc. that I believe it is a better bet to pay a few pounds more and get at least half decent quality.

Bang it with the hoover and you've got another couple of hours finding a new one then installing it !

A half decent cable for the price but I'll continue to make my own. Regardless, have some heat.

This cable would be ideal for use as a DMX cable. Cat5 is ideal for DMX.

Got 2 heat added. Thanks.

Marketplace not Amazon so cold.

Best illogical comment of the year so far. Explain if it's explainable please.

might be worth adding 'Cat5e RJ45' to the title OP just to clarify speed? nice post!

Transporter beam is £5.95 extra

Under £3 with free postage on ebay.

Excellent price. Anyone who has 30m of wire traipsing around there house must be mad, however. Like someone commented above, this is probably a cheap decent way of wiring up your house, just chop of the end and get some sockets...though if you're going to that trouble, you may want to go for Cat6 for "future proofing".

Personally, I rent at the moment, so I much prefer the Homeplug setup. For the price though...can't grumble.

i got cat6 wiring done 100m for £35, this is good deal...good spot OP

X)

There's really no benefit in using Cat 6 rather than Cat 5e but if you want to install fixed wiring you'll be better off using solid core cable. TLC Electrical will sell you 100 metres for £12.85 + VAT.

Cheaper on ebay £3.10 with free delivery, so sorry cold
