Hyperoptic seem to making big waves as a Fibre broadband provider recently, and their May sale is in my opinion, worth some attention.

With three tiers of service on offer, there's an option for everyone dependant on your needs of course.

No line rental required with their service, so you are just playing a flat rate for the service per month, with no additional charges. Unlimited Usage and no data limits on any of the packages. What is even more special though, is a symmetrical service on the higher tiers, giving you the same upload speed as download! Perfect for gamers, streamers, or youtubers if that's your thing

To take advantage of the prices, be sure to use code 'AMAYZING' at checkout. Offers end 17th May

You can check coverage using their handy tool, HERE

Good price but pointless if only 10% of the country can get it.
Genuinely tempted to move to somewhere that has Hyperoptic purely for those 1gb speeds

My 1st years offer was end, and i rang them up ask for any offer rather than change provider (as £60 / month quick heavy)....they come up with few offers and manage to give me £40/months for 1 GB and no min contract (12 months).

Also, you may ask them to give you new box. i rang them up said the connection is quick slow, they found out my box was old version and send me new version box, problem fixed! Very good customer service!

Phone them up. Last time I did it they said it's for new customers only but they said there is a work around whereby the deleted my account and opened it up again. Took all of 2 mins to do.
Not available in my area either. Which is a shame because they would absolutely clean house

Not available just like Sunderland’s back 4
Im really happy with this company. I am currently paying £20 a month for 30 MB internet, landline and unlimited 24/7 UK landline calls. This price is guaranteed till December !

I have been with them since May last year, never had any issues.

Only problem is they don't put you in the BT Telephone directory. I have requested to be included and I now appear on 118500 website and directly enquiries but not the Phone book still...

Otherwise can not fault them.
Ready to dump virgin and than not available.

Couldn't find a recent figure but in 2017 they had just 1.4% coverage, except that is misleading because they include businesses in their figures and the % is based on the amount of personal homes in the country.
Worth keeping an eye on these
1GB plz
33739235-KOpec.jpgCan't beat the 1Gbps down/up service. Highly recommended And if they're not in your city BUT you live in an apartment/flat, look into becoming a "Hyperoptic Champion" and get them to come when you have enough interest - worked for me.
Not in the Hart area. Shame. I'd deffo sign up at these prices.
We live on top of the exchange here in Manchester. I was sure we'd qualify.

Doesn't use BT's network so doesn't matter where you are compared to your exchange.

They basically began with big tower blocks or very high-density locations, aka cities, as it is cheap to do. Lay a fat pipe and boom, instantly you have hundreds of potential customers.

They reckon by 2025 they'll be up to 25% coverage. So long way to go yet.

Out of curiosity in this day and age what’s the benefit of this? Seems like no one uses these services anymore?
Looks like they only service London atm...

You need to be in an apartment building and get more than 15% of it to say they're interested (no commitment, just put their emails and names into the hyperoptic website). Once you get that, they will come in Manchester no probs
Great price, great company. I've had the 150Mb package in Leeds for the same price for a few months now, never had an issue. Sales team and the installer were both very helpful. If you can get it, I'd jump on it!

In case people who don't have my phone number but my name and rough address need to contact me...
Will be coming soon to more areas, this and other suppliers - Truespeed, Hyperoptic etc, there is going to be a gov funding into fibre to the premise in the coming months - community schemes (with sponsorship payments), council backed schemes etc.
I have been speaking with our local supplier - Truespeed - as Bath council was one of the trial areas for the gov voucher scheme.

Actually they do use BT's network. They buy darkfibre from openreach that comes from the BT exchange and via all of the BT ducts that would currently carry copper. I watched them every step of the way installing here. We also live next to an exchange and had "exchange-only" phone lines - no green box so cant even get standard ~76Mb fibre. There was also no FTTP (fibre to the premises) available in this city until Hyperoptic came (Chester). So its worth registering interest wherever you are

You're right. I was just keeping it simplistic for the layman to understand it isn't like your typical fibre product you'd buy from BT or Sky etc that relies soley on the cables laid by BT on their traditional network.

How often does that actually happen though, and they’re willing to pay 2 quid or whatever to use a 118 service? Why wouldn’t they have your number but have your address? Can’t remember last time I saw a phone book in someone’s house.

20 years ago totally but can’t be a huge use case for this now.

Uhm, since installation two years ago I never upgraded. Is it possible?
If anyone wants to be referred let me know, a 50 pound discount for each of us. Pretty decent service, I've had no issues using them
