Barely available anywhere

To be fair, the cost of rolling out actual FTTH would be prohibitive for a small company when it comes to residential estates.
What we should be angry about is how many new build estates don't have dark fibre installed as standard. This should have been happening over the last decade but we let them get away with doing nothing but still bought their homes.

if you want hyperoptic in your area register your interest and apply to be a champion, then generate interest around you and get others to reg interest, once you get around 10 people interested they will looks at installing in your area. what i did and took around 1 year to install and they give you 1 gig broadband free for 1 year

So sick of Virgin and the mixed speeds we get. Shame they don’t have this where I am, 1gb would be awesome!

As above ^

Barely available anywhere

Great deal but not available in my area!

Wasn't available in the last area I lived (Waterloo) and not available at current address either. Tried a few other properties (work, friends, relatives addresses) and not available either. Wish they'd roll this out everywhere. Hate Virgin and unfortunately, Sky upload speeds just aren't good enough.

For people who can't get this I think Vodafone is next cheapest. £20 a month for 18-months for fibre38 including landline, and £21 Topcashback possible.

That's cheap! I am havin troubles with my Origin Broadband ADSL. How do I get yout of that contract with me current provider do I have to document problems with it or somethin like that?>

Great pricing.
Shame not in my area.
Interest registered - hopefully don’t have to wait to long

Good deal, Heat Added.

I've been with them about 3 months, excellent service so far and no contract tie-in, I'm on 100Mb for £22, I wonder if I can renegotiate.

Great deal for the 15 people who can get it, don't they just service big blocks of flats in central London?

Same as most people, not available in my area

Yeah they do unfortunately, as there are much higher profit margins.

i have the 1 gig service and my download speed is around 750 mb download and upload is the same very very fast and very reliable with no issues

Hot for the price. Not available where I live but it is if I walk across the road.

Is it available anywhere?

Same opinion for some form of micro generation being required on every new build. It's insane it's not a legal requirement of planning permission.

Amazing prices. Shame its only available to like less than 1% of us. I wonder what is taking us this long to get a decent broadband.

As eluded to above, there are no requirements for new builds to have dark fibre so there is no way that small companies can front that cost which means these FTTH solutions are only available to a tiny portion of households. This is the fault of our government and councils falling way behind on technology.

There's a chance you can get it even cheaper if you call them. Find a buddy to use referral codes as you'll get credit for that.

On another note, I would consider ditching the router they provide, it's not that good: only 2.4ghz band and chokes on lots of connections. It's required for the phone though, keep that in mind. I'm waiting for my new one to arrive.

Installation is smooth, customer services are helpful and friendly.

You can use any other SIP compatible router if you want to continue using the phone service. Hyperoptic will happily give you the SIP password if you call them up. The ZTE router is good enough for most users unless you absolutely need to use WiFI as it's not very fast. I have my PC and Xbox wired to the router, and everything else on WiFI and have no issues with the device choking.

I've been on the 1Gb service for the last 12 months now and had no issues with the service, which makes a change to the poor service I had from Virgin Media for 5 years.. easily the best ISP I've ever been with, just a shame it's not widely available.

I registered interest as a champion and left bunch of flyers in my neighbours but im afraid my property managers wont allow this

Thanks, I was paying 25 GBP per month for 20 MB. I just upgraded my contract now, will now be paying 17 GBP per month for 30 MB. This is for Broadband + Phone. For Broadband only its 16 GBP.

Does anyone have any experience with renegotiating after the 12 months is up? Is it possible to continue at the same price or is that unlikely?

They have a new router now which has 5ghz wireless. Worth calling them and getting the new router . I think the old hyperoptic router only has 2.4ghz. just had it installed today although the connection is not live it. Will test the speed tonight.

You're not kidding. We are in the process of buying a small house in France, in a hamlet of 5 houses, 7km from the nearest town, which is small, and 100km from the nearest city. I figured I would have to use the phone for internet. Nope, 100mb is available.

Not near me either

Not available here. So far I'm very happy with my 72Mb Sky Fibre.

In news that came as a shock to no one, it's not available where I live either

Oh well look like I'll have to remain a Virgin even longer 😭

For people that have Hyperoptic, I recommend that you buy an Ac router to get better WiFi speeds as their router is a normal n-type router. My WiFi speed went up from 40mbps to 200+.

Also to achieve 1gb download & upload you’re devices would obviously need to capable of achieving with a 1gb network adapter

I currently have BT FTTP (330mb) but this is not available? Is there anyway for me to get this?

Currently on £22/mth for 100Mb. Just asked them if I could switch to 150Mb £24/mth and was told they'd only do it if it's within 30 days of contract start. Good deal though! Heat added
