What's it good for?

As a camera, it appears average quality with low memory limit and no cloud storage. Better cameras are available at a fraction of the price.

As a light it offers nothing above the various smartbulb options available at a fraction of the price.

I don't really see whats good about it. Granted I'm basing this purely on the OP, I haven't looked into it beyond that.
Seems quite expensive for 720p camera which I don't think is really HD.
Wonder if they will be releasing a 1080p model in the future. Expensive, I suppose that's what your paying for, 5 years manufacturer's guarantee.

You could buy 3 of the Yi equivalent cameras for the same price as 1 of these, and still have enough left over to buy a smart bulb.

I just don't see how they justify the price.

Yeah with better resolutions with option for cloud service, just weighing out the pros & cons. Don't think this is competing against Yi as OP has no cloud service. You can't change the bulb on this as they are soldered LED chips. Not sure what LED chip brand they using. Would have been better with bulb fittings so you change out when they are faulty. This is a AIO box solution in neater profile with lower cost of ownership compare to Ring's subscription based business model. Can imagine if one component fails as these are exposed to all many of weather conditions but the app itself is pretty good judging on YT reviews. This is Lutec brand for those keen on it.
