About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

3.15% AER / 3.15% gross p.a.*

Interest is calculated daily and paid at maturity. You will start earning interest once your account balance reaches £1,000. If additional money is added after this point, interest will be paid on that amount from the day it is deposited.

Accounts with interest paying at maturity will have their interest paid into your Castle Trust Bank savings account on the day of maturity. Interest will be applied, but not available to be withdrawn, on each interim anniversary of the account opening for terms of more than one year and may need to be noted on annual income tax returns where appropriate.

*The Annual Equivalent Rate (AER) illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year, and it makes it easier for you to compare savings accounts.
Gross p.a. is the interest rate without tax deducted.

Even for an ISA this is poor compared to what else is available.

You’d be mad signing up to a fixed deal at the moment the next projected interest rate rise is Imminent and likely to be between 0.5 - 1% and by spring next year the interest rate could be 5-6%. (edited)

Agree with both comments above, you'd be mad to fix at this rate for a year at present.

I just made an account with this deal. Haven't transferred cash yet now I've put me off. This is the best rate I could find at present

Being clever, I locked in to an account at 0.7% 2 or 3 years ago. Even though it's a crap rate, 0.7% was a really good rate at the time. I have another 2 years to go. Boo hoo 🥴🥴

Your transfer penalties will probably be paid for with the first month's interest in a new ISA account @~4% -everyone should check it out
