Thanks! I think it might be that this soundtouch range has been discontinued and also there’s a lot of not great vibes about the app.. but I’ve got this range and think it’s great. The fact it’s been discontinued means it’s now affordable too.
If you’re not bothered about the crap app and poor integration with Alexa then this is a great sounding bit of kit.

The app has been pretty reliable for me so far. I don’t tend to use Alexa. Pete I don’t suppose you know a better way to connect an Echo Dot to the ST without using Bluetooth?

Aux? I use a dot with the ST10s I have using the aux. Works great.

I’ll try with aux. Thanks. When using Bluetooth it wouldn’t let me use wifi multi room.

I’ve kitted the house out with x2 ST20’s for kitchen and bedroom (£140 each) and an ST30 for the living room (£313 with cash back).. quite pleased with those prices. I wish I’d picked up an ST10 for the office when they were cheap at Currys!

TBH, there are worse apps, I just preferred their original app, I only use Alexa for turning it on and adjusting the volume (that’s the main problem, the American Version allows much more. I did briefly change the settings of mine to US version and it was good, but it caused issues with other devices) so Idon’t use the Bluetooth!

What that the app version change to the US version? What advantages are there of using this version?

It’s the American version of the Alexa Skill that is much better than the U.K. version. But it needs you to de-register your echo’s etc, set up a new account with a US address (that’s how I did it anyway, but it was a pain if I remember correctly) I then had other Skills that were not available on the US version, so I swapped back. It just needs BOSE to update the U.K. Skill to have the same functionality as the US, but clearly BOSE do not see us as worthy! Hence I would never buy any BOSE home products ever again and I will swap to Sonos if I get the financial ability, but I do love the sound. I just wish I had not bought so many units!

I can’t believe how ice cold this deal is.. it’s definitely glad to know at least one person found it hot.

You never can tell, I think sometimes it starts cold for some reason and you then get copy cats!

This IS a good price for a quality product
