The S-series is above the U-series which is entry level. You get a better picture plus the extra HDMI input is worth the extra alone.

It's just the colour. One is black, the other is grey/silver.

I wouldn't recommend a U series TV of an S. They simply don't compare in terms of picture quality, features, and connections. They're pretty much obsolete. I wouldn't even recommend buying one as a PC monitor as they don't do 1:1 pixel mapping.

Go for an 30/10U or stay away.
