note the first review at £700 lol, nice find dude pity bout the lack of vga but it does have a built in cam for u setanta / topuptv fans out there. got hot from me

I have a JVC 32" lcd . Love it . Mine cost just over £1,000 from John Lewis about 20months ago :x

I looked at and listened to as many LCD TVs as I could and, for me, the JVC I bought had a great picture and the best
sound of any of them.

Good price these are getting cheaper all the time. Voted HOT.

According to the reviews this TV downside is Quote "Rather empty black levels,
occasional colour tone issues"

Good review here homecinemachoice.com/cgi…472

, this TV got 4 out of 5 in reviews

Has anyone got one of these and comment whether the blacks are poor etc?

Bit concerned as I just bought one.

bummer... Just bought a 26" Philips from JL for £400 and then you go and find this deal!!! Oh well, they only wanted a 26".... so shouldn't grumble.

Anyhow... I use to work in a department store and this was 1 of our favorite 32" TV's. The pic was a clear and dynamic as the Pana's and Tosh's next to them... Only the new range of Sony's looked brighter due to the amount of rear illumination.

The thing that set this TV apart from anything else is the sound!! The BJ model has one, if not the best full depth sound quality of any highstreet 32" TV - we sold at that time.

It's been a year since I worked at that job, so this TV is atleast a year old.... but for the price it has to be better than any Beko, Hanspree, Techtronics etc. around for the same pice!!

2.5% Quidco as well. Paid £998 for a similar JVC 32" LCD just over 2 years ago.

It's a tidy deal but no VGA will always annoy the hell out of you.

Bought this for sons bedroom just before Xmas when Comet had it reduced from £500 to £400. hotukdeals.com/for…583
I'm no expert but I haven't noticed any problems with black levels etc. Son uses it mainly for xbox 360 use and has never complained.
Overall I'd say it's a great telly for the price

Hi All,whats VGA?
What does it do and why would you need it etc.:?

VGA is the standard input used to connect a computer to a monitor. If an LCD TV has a VGA input, you can essentially use it as a massive monitor although you shouldn't expect the picture to be as sharp as a small LCD monitor due to the larger screen size.

Not bad deal!

If you want warranty and add 5 years at £149.00 this become just £1.00 cheaper than John Lewis.

Given that choice I know which retailer I would use.

If you really cared about VGa that much you can get a VGA to Scart cable.

It has two RGB scart connections, and VGA is just an RGB signal

Can you price match with JL?

Darn, no delivery to N.I - only to *open inverted commas* mainland *close inverted commas*.

What do ya'll reckon to this televisual children?

that would make the picture quality poor.

Re its not having VGA.

The max res is only 768 so it would not look that good on a 32 inch screen anyway.

It you want to use one a a monitor for decent hi res - find a 1080p screen and a graphics card/driver supporting the same resolution - and it will work well for you.

wouldn't be poor, slightly degraded maybe, but I doubt you would notice the difference

Which one then??

Well I'd go with DigitalDirect. I ordered a toshiba 505AV off of them and it arrived on time when they said it would. I had no complaints/ I was in the market for another 32" and so I went for one of these. At this price it is a steal, for me the warranty isn't a concern, if I was spending a lot more then may be.

I have never used this company, and I don't wish to alarm people, but there is a long thread about them on Money saving Expert 'Warnings' board:

forums.moneysavingexpert.com/sho…ect

A number of posters seem to be suggesting that someone at Digital Direct has noted their CC details and used them elsewhere. Again, I have no experience of using this company, but I would have felt bad if I hadn''t posted this when I had read about it.

Because in my house I have a system that connects a central PC to all the flat panels. That way I can surf the net, watch movies.......... you get the point.

anyone know if this supports NTSC?

leefal;2029159

£349 at sound and visionEDIT: No Irish delivery here either argh!

2.5% Quidco from here as well ( Mainland only!! ):)

That does not help me one iota! Damn you Irish sea! Damn you melting iceage! Damn you imperialism! Damn you Pope Adrian IV and your Laudabiliter! Damn thee all to hell i say!

No VGA, and prob not able to support my laptop full output? Hmm, gotta think about this

I'm looking to replace my 19" Viewsonic widescreen, so would love to find something that could do the job on a bigger scale ..

any thoughts on this? would this be a good replacement? with teh lack of VGA, and only HDMI, I wonder how that would work with my SCART cable box for quality, or if I should buy some extra equipmetn?

Sorry but I'm new to all this. Also wonder if htis is better value over the Samsung 5 inches larger here hotukdeals.com/ite…qu/
