Yeah but you need to put them in the loft now X)

I just bought these after finally realising I'm too old now to be climbing up into the hatch via the window sill and the dragon's shoulders

You need one of these. You're in luck, it's even cheaper X)

just purchased thanks

Great find deeky, heat added.

It is almost exactly what I needed to reach the top of my huge, great big pile of cash!

Do they do a longer one?

Can you extend half of it, or does it have to be opened fully?

can extend as far as you like

Ordered!

You can extend as many rungs as you like in any order you like. Bare in mind tho' you'll have to step over several rungs if you leave several collapsed in the middle of the ladder (not good!).

You could if you have the strength to hang it out of the window and hold it as it extends under gravity. I wouldn't recommend hanging it out the window upside down tho' purely for safety reasons, which is the last thing you want in the event of a fire!

This is dirt cheap btw. Bought one of these from Screwfix for work a while back and cost over £100!

Found them for £58ish on eBay, so not a huge saving, but certainly enough! I did think they were closer to the £100 mark. HUKD once again managed to persuade me to buy something I didn't need

This ladder looks dangerous to me.

Just don't trust any thing telescopic to be sturdy enough.

Ah, ok. They're pretty well established now though so I don't think there's any cause for alarm. They do comply with the appropriate safety regulations so I presume they have been thoroughly tested.

So, which is better - BeyondFashion, or Chinkyboo?
Must admit neither seller inspires me with confidence given the other car-boot stuff they are selling.
I suspect these are cheap Chinese imported ladders and I doubt they will look/feel as good as the ones in the photos of the item.
Damn it - I want one but am not confident of the actual product because the photos are stock photos rather than actual item photos.
If anyone gets theirs delivered and it is exactly as the photos, let us know please.

If you don't need one straight away, keep an eye out for one of these in maplin (if you prefer to buy from a high Street company). I picked up the 3.8m version for just under £50. The price drops to £55 relatively regularly and if you're a new customer, they will give you a £5 off voucher when you register on their website. Plus a little bit of quidco cash back too, which puts it in the same price bracket as this fall but for a taller ladder.
Like I say, they might not have it at this price today, but if you keep an eye out you can do better IF you don't want to buy from this seller today.

Excellent advice, this is exactly what I did and also have the 3.8M ladder which I find excellent around the house, inside and out! A little tip to anyone buying, if your using these for loft access wrap some bubble wrap or old carpet around the top wrung as the black plastic left a mark on my wall!!

This is a very good price, so have some heat, but a word of caution.....

If you stand on the top few rungs for any length of time you may find (like I did) that the whole ladder frame warps. If this happens you will find that it becomes impossible to collapse the top rungs.

cheery warning #1 : ladders/heights are the biggest killer of DIY'ers so be careful

Most of these ladders come with warnings. The top few rungs are the weakest (because they are the smallest diameter) & therefore are not recommended to apply any major force for a continued length of time.
