Follow the link and look for item No 5.

Thought I'd post this to let you see what you will get when you receive this. Ordered this on Weds and it arrived today.

This is a Digimate LTV-2303H as sold by Dabs and others elsewhere. DVD Player is an Eltax DV-254.

Can't comment on the picture as I'm in the middle of decorating and can't plug it in yet....argh!

For the money this looks to be one of the best value deals around at present for a 32". The fact that you get a very well spec'd upscaling DVD Player with HDMI and a whole host of inputs/outputs thrown in along with an HDMI lead makes it an even better deal.

In addition, there is the option of Interest Free until Nov (subject to £25 admin fee)

My Apologies....now found the original post!

hotukdeals.com/for…can

Thanks for this, I'm sure your pictures will be great for those interested in buying this set. Much clearer than just a list of specs IMO.

Cheers, thats why I posted them. Companies do themselves no favours by having low res or precious few pictures of their products.

Give us a review once it is set up

Looks alot squarer than in the add more like a big pc monitor

Gota say I am very intrested in buying this package but would prefer a TV with PiP. yes I know its cheap as chips but needs must you know

Wow mine arrived today as well, super efficient delivery by Scan (although I ordered Sunday)... I havent unpackaged yet, but there is no sign of the HDMI cable... is it in one of the boxes? (what I have looks identical to the first picture).

Yep, it's in your DVD Player Box. It's a quality looking lead.

Is the garantee 3 years on this?

I heard on another forum that Didimate give a 3 year garantee, but according to scan it is just 1 year.

Also thanks for the pics and your help, rep added.

Hi does anyone know if this TV can do 1:1 pixel mapping via VGA? (I understand it can by HDMI?)

Many thanks

PS If anyone can find the time to upload a picture or two of this set used as a PC monitor showing the desktop via vga Iw ould really appreciate it

It's a 3 year gaurantee you complete online. I need to call on Monday as it didn't accept my ser no.

Thanks for the pictures OP.
It's great when members follow up on Hot Deals with their personal experiences of the item and some excellent pictures.

Looks very good - I think it's worth the money especially with the DVD player - is it wall mountable?

How does the warranty work? - Is it onsite like computer monitors ? - They come out with a replacement and collect your faulty unit ?

Thanks

You have loads of rep now as well...pardon my ignorance...what does that mean? Glad to help. Makes it so much easier to decide when you see what you get doesn't it!

It is wall mountable - there are 4 mounting points on the back. It doesn't come with a wall bracket but it should fit the universal brackets with wide arms (not the VESA 100mmx100mm ones). All the connections are accessed from below so it should fit flush.

The picture via a VGA connection is excellent (running at 1366 x 768 ). I can easily use Internet Explorer from 10 feet away and clearly see standard size text. Windows Media Centre looks fantastic and running a HD divx or WMA really shows off the quality of this LCD Panel.

The DVD player is pretty good (especially since it was practically free with this offer) and connected through the HDMI cable LOTR Return of the King was upscaled to near-HD and looked amazingly detailed.

Now the not-so-good side - Standard TV (from a Sky Box via Scart) looks poor on most channels and takes a lot of adjustment to look even half as good as a CRT image. I've only had it a few days so some more playing around with settings may help. It really shows up channels with low bitrates though, they look like an old worn out VHS tape. Having said that I can't honestly say that I've seen SD TV look particularly good on any HD display.

The sound is fine for listening to normal TV but I expect most people would want to use external speakers for music or action films.

Overall I think it's a bargain for only £352 - the problems with SD TV can be found on most HD LCD TV's.

im sooooo tempted to buy one now, argh!!!!

can anyone confirm what terestrial tv looks like on this?? cheers.

Thanks very much guys for your informative posts. My partner and I are on the lookout for a new TV and I'll ask her what she thinks about this one!

I'm swayed by the load of inputs, since we've got a few boxes to connect! (Xbox 360, Wii, DVD, Freeview)

Ive never seen an LCD TV show a non-HD picture particularly well, not even the expensive new Sony Bravias. LCDs are designed to show a native resolution picture, so a 720p signal should look particularly good on this one. Anything else will be scaled, and then youre pitching your hopes on the set having a good scaler, which for £350, is unlikely. All things being considered, this set seems pretty decent for the money.

can you plz tell me what the weight of the tv including the Box is coz i want to take abroad. Thanks

I just set mine up and connected to PC. I cant seem to get it to run at a resolution higher than 1024x768 without regions falling outside of the visible display (which you can move to using the mouse, but this is not ideal). Anyone got any ideas how I can get the full 1366x768 to display on screen?

Looks like they have just updated the site - deal's gone.

Was gutted when I read that,

But, I had one in my cart from the morning, somhow it stayed in there even though I turned the computer off etc. And I just placed my order 5 mins ago.

The price of the TV has gone up to £370 - with no HDMI DVD Player.

I ordered it for £352.50, should be here on Thursday.

I just completed the online warranty registration... this is the warranty info:

12 Months UCC
From 25/2/2007 To 25/2/2008

24 Months CUU
From 26/2/2008 To 25/2/2010

So seems to cover 3 years... does anyone know what UCC and CCU mean?

Does anyone have any ideas about my previous query about resolutions?

Offers change every Saturday - I'm afraid this one is gone folks.

0% interest for 7 months, but the £25 admin fee equates to a charge of 12% pa. Doesn't sound quite so good then does it!!

Original Poster

Yes, I agree when is interest free not interest free.

Anyway, just a brief update to let you know that I got my TV hooked up last night and..............bleedin eck, it ain't half noisy! Have tried adjusting ALL the Audio setting to try and improve matters but this set has a VERY distracting background noise from the speakers all the time. Best way I can describe it is, if you are driving in your car and you open the window just a crack. You then get a slight noise that, once you are aware of it, bugs the life out of you. Same Thing!

If I get a cheap home cinema setup this will cease to be an issue.

Mine also has one hot pixel stuck on green.

Will see if things settle down. If they don't I think a return may be on the cards.

Picture quality was great although I can't really be subjective as I have nothing to compare it against.
