I have had a look online but they are still £300 + on the website so im not sure if this is instore only or they are waiting for the site to be updated?

hope this helps someone out

Hi all found it and updated the link to go directly to it -

direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx

This deal is now only available in store

Just wanted to add that you get double clubcard points on this item too, so you get roughly about £4 in vouchers back - £195!

NOTICE FOR MODERATORS - this deal is available instore so please dont expire due to unavailability at present online, thanks and merry christmas

Still about 5 or 6 left in the Milton Keynes (Kingston) store if this helps anyone!

hi looking on tesco web does anyone know what the Technika 40" hd ready 1080p lcd tv is like at £399.97 many thanks if anyone can help

Amazing price for it - great for a bedroom etc. Any good prices on any bigger ones?

ive got 2 37" and 24" the remotes arent great but picture and sound is very good and for what your paying its an absolute bargain

just got one for bedroom..Thanksx

WOW that is seriously cheap!

..anyone know of any TV with memory card slot or USB port going for reasonably cheap price?
thanks
DL

Looks good , best buy it thanks op

ordered one , thanks!

Extremely hot. Yes they arent a recognised brand like Samsung or Sony, but your getting a hell of a lot of TV and pixels for not much money.

fantastic price! thanks for the post! h&r added.

Hey all give the op some heat too if you haven't allready

hot!!

Contrast Ratio: 1300:1 => its baaad
On Power Watts: 150 => its a lot of energy!
S-video Connection: No => not working with your computers

so think twice before you gonna buy it.

Positives are - it is full 1080p resolution, 2 hdmi slots, freeviiew

Negatives are - Just 2 HDMI slots, contrast ratio is 1300:1, No RGB scarts, no optical out, no PC in,

With all that in mind, Price is probably just about right, and you really will get what you pay for.
Personally at 32 inch - LG, Samsung make much better TVs, but their price point will be around the £320-£380 mark

Well you get what you pay for. No one is pretending that its a £600 screen at £200, but its a bargain plain and simple.

what does s-video have to do with computers?? They are connected via VGA or HDMI....

or DVI too. Yes I didn't what he meant about "not working with your computers" as 99% of GFX cards will have DVI outputs, you can buy a DVI to HDMI cable and dual screen this screen with your existing computer screens.

Excellent deal, voted hot. Complete bargain considering its a modern unit with DVB-T etc and available online. Won't last very long at this price.

Exactly what I thought, that guy is an idiot.

No optical out was the clincher for me. Great deal if you don't need optical out though.

S-video, exactly the kind of connection you want to put 1080p video over.

Banned

this tv its not worth it. pay £100 more and get a samsuang or lg or pay a bit extra and get a panny trust me you will get way better pictures from the tv

Got a nearly new 28" CRT in the bedroom, but at this price I'm havin' one of these to replace it... not the best but gotta be the cheapest!

Its horses for courses. Yes this is not an enthusiast screen and no one is claiming it as such.

Bargain

Ive got the 19" with dvd already and no problems and paid £165 this is a hot price for this size telly.

Paid £220 for a 22" HP computer screen 18 months ago which I'm currently watching my Blu Rays on, I'm sensing this screen could become a new addition to my desk!

£179.10 with staff discount......Bargain !!! :santa:

Most contrast ratios mean very little, there is no set standard for manufactures to quote them. Most are pretty much made up, especially with dynamic figures often quoted, this is a more accurate figure for a real world test. (still not expecting it to be amazing, but probably still good enough)

Not sure on what most 32" sets power is, but it doesn't to be honest sound that high.

And why on a TV like this would you use S-Video??? 5 years ago maybe but now obviously VGA / DVI / HDMI

I don't think anyone is going to think this is state of the art, but it's a lot of TV for the price and I expect fine for a 2nd (bedroom) TV.

good bedroom / backup tv
thank you op

Thanks OP, bedroom tv sorted. Was gonna get a 'cheap' 26" but this definately trumps it
I wonder if it has a sky code for the remote?

are there any working discount codes out there please? ive looked and looked without success - thanks in advance and merry xmas xxxx

Damn I new I should've waited on gettin that homebase one today, as the boyf works for Tesco so would've gotten 10% off this one too!

It's not the first time that Tesco has messed up the specs on a tv that there selling. I remember 22" tv posted on here a while back that did not specify a built in DVD player but it actually had one built in.

STONKING! I just knew they'd go sub £200 eventually! Saved up all my clubcard vouchers, so got this for £180!!!!

Thanks!
Don't forget the quidco!

Shame this is too big for the bedroom, well not quite too big, but would be too imposing on the bedroom. Wished there were sub £150 deals on 22-24" LCDs

Heat added, gets good reviews at Reevoo, however can't be sure whether to trust the simpleton reviewers, as one customer has wrote "easy to set up, plenty of space to put other appliances on such as sky box, wii and xbox", I somehow doubt he meant physically!
