This is the first 32 inch Full HD (1080P) LCD TV I've come across. Its not even launched yet. Amazon.co.uk have the preorder for this set priced at £740. These facts make the price seem reasonable to me although I don't doubt it will get cheaper after its been out a while. But I suppose the question is, 'how much are people prepared to pay for a 32 inch HD TV with 1080P display?'

Don't forget your 2.5% quidco to bring the price down to £584.03!

32" 1080p!? thats a first!

I was just as surprised as you! Is it even worth having 1080p in a 32inch? Borderline I'm sure.

But go Toshiba for making it happen and reinforcing my belief that their tvs are still some of the best

I haven't ordered but their buy now pay later is tempting me even though it costs £35 for the privilege. At least that way I'm not paying the total cost of the tv before its even sent to me (note, I'm guessing that the worse case scenario of them charging straight away and not delivering for a few weeks turns out to be so).

poor sharp, they released a 1080p 32" lcd ages ago but nobody seems to have heard about it.

maybe they shudda advertised it more lol

Considering some may have only room for a 32" and this is the top res a good price, actual use of 1080p over just another selling point puts this at luke warm for me

Out of curiousity, whats the model number of the Sharp 32" 1080P? That definately slipped me by...

EDIT: Ouch! Found it, SHARP LC-32X20E selling for a rip off price in most places of £800+ They'll have to bring that down now that there's competition...

I've just put two and two together (and possibly made 5?)

Toshiba and Sharp announced an alliance whereby Toshiba would start releasing Sharp sourced panels didn't they? What's the chance this new 32XV is a decendant of the Sharp LC-32X20E?

1080p 32" could be usefull if you sit close to the screen.

I still say this is a hotter deal than its rating given Digital Direct (who are usually one of the cheapest suppliers) have now announced their price and are asking for £780!!!

Play.com are selling it at £549.99
