Topcashback do Dixons though.

voted hot as this is cheaper than deals i've seen for this but i read its pointless having full HD on anythin smaller than 37"?
I'd pay an extra £80 for the 37" model (37XV555DB).

a bit pricy for a 32", should be around 300 mark! get the lg below for 300! 720p is enough unless u use it as a pc monitor

mikeswrx02 is right, 1080p on a 32" LCD isn't worth the extra unless you're planning on hooking it up to a computer. If you are then this is a heck of a price!

have you ever used a tv as a monitor? bad plan.

Man why do 1080p 37-40" TVs cost hundreds more?

I hope you have a reason for making such an erroneous statement?

Just wait for the good deals... My Toshiba 37" 1080p (which I use as my primary monitor) cost ]£391 from Sainsburys.

Not hundreds more. the 37Xv555db 1080p can be had for around £460-£500

I got my Toshiba 42IN 42XV553DB 1080P Digital LCD TV from Clearance Bargain's with a 12 month warranty for £459.99

Only diffrence between the 555 and the 553 is the stand.

TV quality is good and would recommend a Toshiba.

Really nice TV. £424 (-2.5% Quidco quidco.com/dig…ct/ = £413.41) with a 3 year warranty digitaldirect.co.uk/tos…tmlIn stock as I type.

This TV has been about for many months (it's been posted here lots of times) and I assume this is the last of the stock.

Agreed if it's your only screen.

I agree with all you guys saying wait for good deals and such. Just annoying my parents keep asking me every day if I've found a cheap TV for them! Clearance Bargains as in the ex-Argos stock store? There's one in my hometown. I should check there.

Disagree, I have a 32" sony bravia 720p tv and its hooked up to my ps3, pc and also use it as a TV and have no probs at all.

Thing is with a 720p screen it has a lower resolution than my 19" monitor. That's why they're bad for computer screens. Unless you have poor eyesight and need everything to look massive. A 1080p screen used as a computer screen isn't too bad but a dedicated monitor at 32" would be higher than 1080p. 1080p is the standard for a 24" monitor. Well technically it's 1920x1200 due to the 16:10 vs 16:9 thing.

That was kind of a 1 off.

I bought the Tosh 37" 1080p from Sainsburys in Jan for just shy of £470 and that was still a great deal, and considering it wasn't Dixons and it was actually in stock on the day and I got the TV and took it away on the day, it's still a great price now. I use it as a second monitor and its perfect.

I've noticed (just out of interest) how much my particular TV and similar TVs have been selling for and TVs in general haven't come down much in price at all over the last 4 months. Sure, there's been the odd blistering deal on here for a lucky few, and 100 others from poor retailers where you are never likely to get the goods advertised on their website, but on average this TV and a lot of other deals on here are still selling for a hell of a lot more.

Erm, turn the brightness down

HDTVs can make excellent monitors, and are absolutely fine for close-up use.

Hi guys,

I had a 26" DMTECH lcd tv that has gone breaky breaky on me.....all sorts of multi colour rainbow lines going through it. Im not thinking of repair want to get a new one. This was perfect for my pc.

I have been thinking about buying a new LCD screen. Mostly i use as a pc monitor.

I was thinking of getting a 32". What do you guys think is this advisable for pc usage.

Any lcd tv's you can recomend for about £350 ish max.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank
Nad
