Heat added

Looks like they've updated the read/write speeds now (used to say 5MB/s, which was incorrect).

Great deal.

Ordered mine. Used once and them computer no longer recognized the device. So be carefull !

great price voted hot, shame i bought a 16gb sandisk of amazon when it was about 12-13 quid.

prices of these usb pens have dropped! (not complaining tho )Very good price!

Bought a emotion tv with usb record facilty, but when I put a 8gb flash drive I only got 15 minutes of recording. Will this be better? Thanks guys

Doesn't support ReadyBoost and will not format as NTFS (FAT32 only) - so max file size of 4GB (not much good for HD video).Oth-erwise very useful for media backups. Would easily cope with most peoples' entire music and photo collections to carry about. But you wouldn't trust this much data on a small loseable USB drive. You'd really have to have HDD or CD backups as well!

Thanks for advice but I haven't got a clue about ntfs and FAT. How do I find out if my usb is right or wrong format. I just put the empty 8gb usb in the tv and pressed record expecting to have a 2 hour film but it just stopped after 15 mins. Love the tv but would like to have this facilty if possible. Thanks again.

i bought a hard drive from ebuyer so plug into a media player (also from ebuyer) the HDD had to be converted to FAT32 and i know as much about computers as i do about astrophysics!!! but i found this software and it converted my HDD to a FAT32 format... lord know what FAT32 means or does but i converted it. Sadly i deleted the software... bit pointless like "i am legend" movie but i will make up for it by finding the software again.... if its what you want.

Ok Thanks. I will look around net for Fat32 software to try doing that. Thanks again

Just checked usb flash drive, went to properties and it said FAT32 so now I'm confused again

wow this is hot

Don't forget Quidco

FAT32 (File allocation table) is a 32bit filesystem utilising older technology. With modern operating systems it has drawbacks with minimum block or cluster size, maximum file size and external fragmentation.

NTFS: (New Technology FileSystem) utilises smaller data cluster sizes and therefore yields less fragmentation. The fragmentation occurs, generally, as a result of free space being left behind across the drive which is too small to accommodate the minimum file size of the newly written data. With NTFS accepting data block sizes of just 4kb (against FAT32 512kb) then obviously there is greater flexibility for storing small blocks of data. Fragmentation still occurs but clustering is more efficient and leaves less space behind. The NTFS system also greatly enhances paging (swapping data between RAM memory and virtual memory located on ones hard drive)

A FAT32 pen drive is good for storage of gen purpose data, but not for large media files. The USB data transfer rate is also tediously slow. Something to consider if regularly copying files of say 2GB+ between pen drive and PC.

How can you have 2 active deals on here? Surely one must be expired? If not there will be a glut of new deals repeating old deals purely to get heat, could a mod not have bounced up the old post to highlight it as has happened before

Seems 1 rule for some and another for others. Voted the deal cold as a duplicate post!

The "over a month old" deal is currently the 4th hottest deal of all time. Not exactly difficult to find.

has anyone tried this with a softmodded wii? and if so, did it work?

I agree with LDHughes' comments.... This deal is already on the main page as the 4th hottest deal!... surely that makes the deal obvious enough for everyone without needing a carbon copy of the deal putting up... or is it so hot that it needs 2 places on the hottest deal list?.... either way it is a good deal, and no disrespect is meant to DownHill911, I just don't see any point in it being relisted when its already there on a podium!

hot deal.got 1 16gb for £15 few months back.should wait longer!

I've got a problem with these style drives, where the key ring attachment doesn't actually secure the drive part, so when it breaks you get left with the useless part.

i would rather pay a little more for a sandisk. fed up of cheap usb's as they do tend to give a lot of headach

Bought one, ready to return it! Data retention is unreliable. Transferred a batch of photos to take over to a friends place... got there... drive was empty. Folder was there, no data inside. Scanned the drive and Windows created a useless Found.000 folder where the files, even after you chance the extension, can't be read properly. Don't buy. Save yourself the heartache!

Out of stock - expired

Still can't find the sticks in stock so why not expired???
