Description
This USB stick has a massive 32GB worth of storage. Bearing in mind a lot of entry level spec laptops only have 80GB it shows just how advanced this product is. It can hold the equivalent of 13056 pictures (dependent on megapixel) or up to 512 hours of music. It is also USB 2.0 which allows much higher speeds than the previous 1.1. Finally this product comes with a 5 year warranty for peace of mind.

Full Specification
Storage Capacity 32gb

No technical info but seems a good price.

i saw this last week but didnt post it thinking it wont be much of a deal paying postage on top but if you can pick it up instore then its a brilliant price

32gb thats ideal fro storing music etc on for xbox 360 that is the max 360 will allow through usb port ideal if you got orginal 360 for storing music on

It's the cheapest 32gb flash drive I've seen

Bargalicious, might have to battle with the zombies in Asda, thanks!

when you say collect in store...do you mean jsut turn up...or am I missing the reserve and collect feature on the website???

Very good price, but just out of interest do you know what the make is ?

you can get them a lot cheaper on fleabay if you don't mind taking the risk.

This is okay if all you want to do is store disposable content like music/video files you already have copies of. But I wouldn't personally store crucial data on this - better to get a branded memory stick (e.g., Corsair) as it offers more reassurance to keep your data safe

If they are telling the truth that isn't too bad a speed, better than most of the unbranded cheapies and as good as e.g. the standard (non-GT) Corsair device.

Each to their own,

I bought a stack of about 12 2gb Kingston Data Travelers for work - around half of them were faulty and either refused to work, or data transfer to them was ridiculously slow. The other half worked 'OK'.

So I'd personally never ever use Kingston again, really.

£5 delivery* if your not collecting in store - a little expensive for the size of the packaging, but that could be a ploy to get you into a store.....?

(*Shouldn't that be detailed in the title?)

Great deal!
I've got three Asdas near me, so fingers crossed.

Great spot!

The trouble is it's a very high risk. Most of the fleabay ones are fake.

It's got a 5 year warranty, so even if it does fail you are covered. I bet nobody is still using a weedy 32Gb one in five years time though. We'll be in tens of terabytes by then. Your whole life hanging around your neck. :-D

Be very carefull when using flash drives on the Ps3, it will only recognise known brands.

I have a 4gig no name one and it doesnt want to know but both of my Sandisk ones read no problem.
The Ps3 forums are full of people who cannot read USB drives on their machines and the answer is all the same.

Make sure it is a branded one.

Just can't argue at that price:thumbsup:

the 360 can see any size portable device as long as its formatted in fat32

Yeh, use software like swiss knife and you can make any hard drive work with a PS3 or 360.

The ones who cannot get em to work are probably trying to insert Stabilo highlighters.

lol!.

Couldn't see any in the Shipley store...

Very true! In 18months time I expect we will see the release of the SDXC & Sony MemStick supporting upto 2TB. I made the mistake of paying the extra for Kingston's memory with lifetime warranty and by the time it failed 4.5 years down the line I didn't need the replacement since it was obsolete. Wish I'd have taken my mate's route and paid £15 less per stick now (...his was is still running too).

Where does this say it's available in store? It doesn't offer any store collection options when you buy it. £5 to have a tiny wee packet delivered within mainland UK? Overpriced delivery for such a small package.

well from that site;

Read speed 950KB/S Write speed 650KB/S

this is rubbish, would take a day to fill it

i would get 2 sandisk 16gb for £15.99 each (thats a 2p saving!) and i know that they make good memorey sticks

Those are usb 1 speeds and do yourself a favour and STAY AWAY from that site unless you like being ripped off

seems this stick is priced about right for anon branded memory stick.

I have a 4GB stick I've had for a few months. I have a webserver installed on it, every few days the scripts get very slightly corrupted (you wouldnt normally notice with most documents). I think it's worth spending a bit more for a decent make like Corsair. The Corsair 16GB survivor is £30 or less and would be a much safer bet.

Havent voted though, but personally wouldnt bother.

Most of the ones are much lower ones (such as 256mbs) reformatted to look like a 32gb one. So the risk is huge.

Isn't a portable hard drive better value?
