sorry you lost me how is this the same drive?
p.s the drive you mention has had some bad feedback from here on hukd

Edited by: "shadow1" 3rd Apr 2011

This is still unbranded though, the fact there are no reviews for the drive does not mean its any better than the one from 7dayshop, I'll hold judgement till I see some user feedback

Why do people buy these? You can easily get a portable USB powered hard drive for around the same price

If you drop one of these it doesn't break like a usb hard drive, usb sticks are smaller as well! theres so many reasons these are better

I don't think USB flash drives are any better than portable HDDs when it comes to wear and tear.

I've seen many more broken USB flash drives. No reason, just die a death.

And unbranded is madness as you could be buying any old rubbish.

Why does it say Capacity:2GB in the specs?

my usb flash drives (cheapo kingston 16gb datatravellers that were a fiver each ) have been left in my pocket and been thru the washing machine and work just fine let me know a external hdd that does that

£5 for kingston 16gb usb drive....where from ?

Why has this turned into a pointless argument over flash v HDD?!?! They are both TOTALLY different formats and each has its uses. I have a works flash drive which I carry around with me all day. It fits nicely into my pocket and I never know its there.... would not be the same if I had a 2.5" HDD in my pocket!!! Conversly, I have a 500Gb HDD for my media player, I would never consider replacing that with a flash drive.

Horses for courses, the only negative to this deal is the lack of knowledge on the brand (i.e. reliability).

I also bought one of those from Clas Ohlson for £5, it's been in constant use ever since and it's flawless. I keep hoping that Clas Ohlson will repeat the offer.
