Nice little saw - Bought one for work as teach kids woodwork. Always get them to count their fingers though before I let them use machines like this!!!!!!!

what a great price - shame that the website says order's are suspended which I guess means they wont be getting more of these in ?

Do you know if this is instore as well? Im after a nice little bansaw to keep in my loft to be able to work when not in workshop and this looks perfect for basic cutting

marcus, you let kids use this ? wow, hats off to you for it .... would have been great to have been taught to use a bansaw at school, but even in sixth form your not allowed to use them! Im a model maker now and we arent / weren't allowed to use bansaws in the workshop till being fully trained and inducted on them; health and safetys all over things like this it seems

Silverline - not a great make

I have a whole load of different Silverline tools, they come with a 1yr warranty and registering on thier web site gives you 3yrs warranty, maybe not up to industrial standards but for home hobby use they have enough durability and the price point which gathers fans.

... sounds like you were unlucky, they let us use them through the whole time we were at school and zero accidents! apart from one idiot who took the tip of his finger off but that was with a router, whilst working with mdf.

sounds like your school was just health and safety mad... shame these are sold out looked like a good price.

wish i had the space in my shed
