Now live

Now this is a decent SIMO and no long tie-in either.

Should suit quite a few of you, decent 3.5GB 4G data, 2000 mins and unlimited texts - you can also tether if needed (also a rolling 30 day contract so not long 12/18 month tie down)

Also includesRoam Like at Home which allows you to use your mobile plan allowance to make and receive calls, send texts and use data when you're roaming in any of our Roam Like at Home destinations, rather than paying roaming charges.

EE.Although mine flags up as T-Mobile.Moved from 3 as EE were perceived as having the best coverage but got to say no better than 3
I'm already with Plusnet on a 30 day rolling contract. If I want to change over to this one, do I have to start again with a new mobile number - I'd really like to keep my current number if possible? Thank you.

You can usually use their online chat or call them to change your contract. Your number will remain the same.

Thank you for that, just a bit of a hassle changing numbers with school, college, work, doctors, etc, each time!

Yes. Give them a call and they will transfer you over to this deal. If you find a better deal they will at least price match or better it. Give them a call.

Thank you.
If you take this deal. Keep it and after 3 months give them a call and they can reduce the amount by £2:00 to £6:00. Done this on 3 family sims .
Do they make it easy to keep track of data usage?
Signed up to them a few months ago with a similar package, seems to be lots of deals like this and I have no network problems at all across the UK (and in EU) - good network!
To get this deal you must be their broadband customer...

If you find a better deal, they will match it or better it. I moved over to Plusnet less than a month ago and called them and they gave me a loyalty discount plus more data and minutes.
Not a trustworthy company in my opinion. I used a cooling off period with them and the charged me for the full amount of an 18 month contract for nothing. £175 right before Christmas. After 5 promises to investigate from managers and no calls back they then failed to fully comply with a Data Protection Act Subject Access Request. Conveniently failing to provide me with the call where I cancelled the contract. Avoid!
Not the best network in the world - too many dropped calls, low bars and and buffer-face internet connections.

Cold for me.

Kind regards.

Yep - should be added in the title....
Paying this much for 4GB data, unlimited minutes/text directly from EE (obviously on a 12 months contract though), not voted either way.

Edit - 12 month BT app sub as well.

Really? Three is absolute gash compare to the other 3 networks. I constantly monitor all networks for my job. EE definitely has the best 4G coverage and I’ve noticed O2 to be very good now and Vodafone hot on their heels

Voted hot but prefer the 2.25gb deal from ID Mobile.
It says there is tethering with this sim. Can somebody answer my query please?
I currently have a SIM, 30 day rolling contract with Plusnet. My Sky broadband fibre package is going to be turned off on 9th February. Plusnet have said that my broadband fibre package with them will be switched on, on 12th February, so that means the weekend with no fibre. I have a PC which is capable of connecting wirelessly (if needs be, but currently using a lead from my router). For the weekend would I be able to connect my PC to my internet data on my phone if I turn on tethering - sorry, never done this before so don't know if it is possible to do this? I really could do with the internet on my PC over the weekend as for my work I have to write up long reports, and that's not easy to do on a mobile phone! Thank you.

I don't see that being a problem you can tether from your phone to pc.

Do you think that the PC will eat up the data a lot quicker? Thank you.

No, you don't need to be a broadband customer. Where does it say that? I already have their £5 deal as advertised and have no broadband with them. If there was such a restriction they would make it explicit on their deal page. Furthermore you can select at the top whether you are an existing customer or not. I tried both and this deal is the same for both. I think what you don't get is Mates Rates which I don't know what it is. I assume it is a discounted rate on top of this plan.
Thank you. Just called Plusnet to change my current plan (3.5GB/1000 mins/1000 texts at £8 a month) to this one, so will get an extra 1000 mins and unlimited texts. I am allowed to keep my current mobile number and the new plan will take effect for me on my next refresh date - 14th February.
better call them if you are existing customer and probably you will get better offer when you ask about PAC Code.

You can either tether wirelessly or via USB, on android usually under the network options/more networks. Create hotspot or similar or if your phone is attached to the pc via USB. Usb tethering will be an option. Bluetooth tethering is also possible but in terms of speed USB, then wireless and then bluetooth.
Thank you for the advice about tethering. Nice to know that I will be able to use my PC over the weekend before my internet is up and running on the Monday.
Do Plusnet have an app like Giff Gaff that tracks usage/balance?
Cheers OP.

I was on the 3GB 1500 min unlimited texts for £8.50 a month tariff. Called customer services and asked about this and he immediately offered 3.5BG unlimited texts and minutes for £8. I was on the phone for less than a minute.

Sorted!

Nope not yet, but all I've done is bookmarked the login page of their website in chrome and it saves my login details. You can easily track usage/balance that way.
You might as well pay an extra £2 and gets 5GB for £10 that's what I did still get all the unlimited texts and minutes and the 30 day contract

Except it is Feb now and that offer has expired . Unfortunate as my son's new phone arrived yesterday, so we just missed it.
When does your 1 month start, is it when you receive the sim and activate it? If so how long do you have to do this?
