i wouldnt bother the quality is really rubbish, its like a phone camera from the 1990s
You can shove it up your...drain pipe and see what's blocking it...

Would be good but the resolution is terrible, there are better ones on there with 720p res so slightly more

Yes,
If it's more than 8mm,

Surprised at all the negative comments, i got this from gearbest before xmas, it works really well very impressed
It's not going to match your slr with good glass... it's not meant to!
but when you are pulling a wire under floorboards, or checking behind a car dash, these are worth their weight in gold !
Can someone post a link to a fairly decent quality one ?

Part of the job I do needs examination as part a requirement but the quality needs to be good enough to do fairly thorough inspections as close to full hd as possible

I have to agree with you there.

This may be better than the one I have as I bought mine a couple of years.

I got one these type cameras to see under the floorboards when running Ethernet cable throughout the house and have also used it a couple of days ago for a similar job.

I had it hooked up to a Samsung tablet using one of those white Samsung OTG adapters like the one below, which IIRC came with my Galaxy S7.

The picture quality of the one I have, which is 720p IIRC, is meh at best.

I'll admit that it did help me finish the job I was doing, but I did expect it to be a lot better than it was.

Even when the light was on full it was still hard to make anything out further than a few centimeters away or there was a bright halo which prevented me seeing anything at all.

Worst of all is that mine has a "floppy" umbilical between the USB end and camera end and not one of those flexible 'snake' type cables.

Pretty useless when trying to push it through a 4m void.

Ended up fastening it to some fibreglass access rods, which I think are an absolute god send.

Still difficult working out which way is up on the camera though.

For just over a fiver, worth having in your arsenal, but don't expect it to give you more than a rough idea of what is going on if using for anything like I was doing.

Keep with the program. It's LEDs on the RIM.
Claims to work with Android but having bought one (Nexus 7) that's a not from me. Subsequent checking indicates webcam type devices are very variably supported amongst Android handsets so by all means, dig in but dont expect it to be supported on all mobile devices.
Aww no way.. I’ve paid over double for one, on Friday from Amazon That’s a amazing deal hun, thanks for posting it! I might send my one back.. (I had a £3 promo took off it aswll LOL!
Heat added xx

Even if it were free, I'd not want it anywhere near my arsenal

In hindsight, I maybe could have phrased that differently. LOL
Not sure what people expect for a fiver , but if you want a good one I can recommend Olympus Endoscopes they cost a few quid but are better than this ,we use them to look inside Prototype engines . For looking down the back of your fridge for a missing hairgrip once a year this would be good enough I expect
Thanks OP I have one of these and think they are more than good enough for a DIY er .

Try ordering it using their mobile url. I ordered one from an email for just over £3 the other week, on the normal site it was over £5, editing the url gave the lower price.

Actually, it was a different URL m.gearbest.com/mic…tml

Comes up as £3.02 (email only) for me on the mobile site. I've not checked if it is the same item

Edit: no I'm wrong it must be linked to my account as the mobile url works as £3.02 when I'm logged in.

If you have got a Gearbest account, login on their website, then paste the following url excluding quotation marks.

"m.gearbest.com/microscopes-endoscope/pp_229387.html"

I had to click two add to cart buttons for some reason, but the price stayed at £3.02.

I think it is probably account specific though and I can only add one to my cart, else the price goes up.

Got my £3 one today, and I only ordered it on the 1st.

Tried it plugged into a PC with VLC. Picture quality is ok at its max res of 640p.
