Just checked my Virgin Media download speed it's 112.56 Mbps, if you have a Virgin cable outside the house it really is the only way to go.

I signed up to Vodafone Broadband last year. I should be getting 38mb. I’m lucky to hit 20, I’m about 100 yards from the exchange as well.
When I had sky broadband, it was well over 30mb.
If I have a wired connection, I get about 25-28 at best.
Not sure on other people’s experience with the broadband but as soon as my contract is up, I’m leaving for VM.

I downloaded the app and it says I’m getting 40mb
So unless my router is faulty, it’s a load of rubbish.

I have to agree - dire service and speeds. Took my line from BT too early resulting in early termination charge. I tried for 3 weeks to let them know. 15 live chats and calls to their ineffectual Asia based call centres and they still didn't manage to contact openreach and delay the switch by 1 day!!! Thankfully I snail mailed hard copies of all correspondence to their UK complaints team who payed the early termination charge and compo. Then had to do the same when they failed to add caller display as agreed in the contract.
Speeds are ok during the day but drop to about 9mb of an evening. The Voda router is useless, forever dropping connection - had to buy my own to solve the problem, then began the fight to get the login details. But now can't claim on their speed guarantee as they only accept speeds taken from their router not a 3rd party. Cheap for a reason.
Urghhh - come back BT, all is forgiven

It was the Vodafone speed guarantee app I was using.
Do you mean a speed test website? I’ve used Speedtest for that if you are.
Been super impressed by Vodafone’s service AND support. I’m getting guaranteed up and down, and when I had a few teething issues the support (Scottish once ‘level 2’) went above and to sort it out.

NO.

I’m with TalkTalk @ this speed, for £22 a month includes line rental and calls 24/7 to UK landlines and mobiles, plus a free mobile sim with 250 mins and 500mb data a month. My speed rarely drops below 30Mbps

Speed-check just now and it's 34.63Mbps down and 5.89Mbps up
Vodafone members get £20/month deal, with Quidco £40 cashback it's about the same (cheaper by £1, at £320).
I'd trust Quidco 40 (using their own comparison) than 2 separate cashback deals...

Saying that, I just paid £1 for the Vodafone SIM card, it balances out after all...

Voda doesn't look good just recontracted to BT for £26.99 a month. I must admit where I live its solid and the router never drops out. Sometimes the grass is not greener. I don't need the hassle

Good deal. I have renewed my contract with them and the best price I was given was £22. On website the price was £20 for vodafone members, a bit misleading, as 'members' meant to have vodafone on your mobile. I was not a member, as I only have broadband. So...it sucks...also difficult to negotiate with them, similar deals were before but nothing available when i signed. In terms of quality, I've signed for 38Mbs, been with them for 18 months now, never had under 35Mbs speed. I only needed to restart the router 2-3 times in this period of time. I was with TalkTalk....that was absolutely rubbish. what I do not like at vodafone is their customer service and the fact they charge extra for my home phone, when as part of the contract I have free minutes. They always charge by 'mistake' so have to 'fight' with them to get my money back...don't really like I have to keep on eye on them but have no other choice I guess. They keep apologising and crediting my account....

if only i could get it stuck with bt 38 down and 5up
Count yourself lucky. I get 3mbps and pay £55 a month with KCOM. There is no fixed line alternative in parts of East Yorkshire.
I have gone for this after cancelling my BT for increasing the monthly fee

thanks OP!

34425537-AUwQO.jpgIt's still on until 22nd.

When you click the page make sure you are taken to the offer for £50 and fill your details. I have noticed it sometimes doesn't
Unfortunately this time Vodafone have REFUSED TO HONOR THIS DEAL WITHOUTANY NOTICE!
They claim the deal on broadband choices expired 2 weeks before we bought the deal

How pathetic
