Not sure what i am going to do with it, but ordered ...
Any android compatibility or just the usual "let's make everything apple first" nonsense?
It isn't letting me order just Keeps saying loading, any ideas? Thanks

I'm guessing that they only mention apple compatibility as that is what the app is for. If you could find a suitable android app I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Android already make an app that doesnt require this to use it. iOS doesn't which is probably why they make this.
Page seems to freeze when I open the link. Not a good sign
Heat added, and 1 ordered (tried to order 5, but the code only works for a single).

Hopefully this will now stop me posting in every Samsung Galaxy Note >4 thread lamenting about removing the IR blaster - which no-one on the planet uses except me.
Has anyone used one of these before?

I refuse to upgrade my phone because I don't want to lose the IR-Blaster, it controls all my tech that don't have NFC, or Bluebone or HotTwit
Mine worked out at 79p, the page wouldn't work so downloaded the app and worked no problems, thanks heat OP

*2 people on the planet.
Was about to buy one then remembered my phone (HTC One) already has an IR port for remote control. 81p Saved
Found an app called Zaza Remote with very mixed reviews. Likely to be problematic when pairing with "mystery meat" hardware such as this I suspect.

As an Android user I guess they made it for the iPhone first as they do not have infra red where a lot of Android phones do have it?

Like somebody else said all it would take to get it working on Android would be the app as I guess the app just sends signals to the headphone socket which in turn gets changed into infrared.
Code not working for me

Also as an IOS user android have the best of everything already, such a large range of apps and free to use software which IOS can't get due to apples monopoly on the system.
What apps are there to make the most of this?
Why would I want this?......Ordered!
As an Android user, all you'd prob need is an app like Peel Remote. Been controlling my telly that way for over a year now The powar!
Ali.Balamir

I could make a use of it on the girlfriend's bluetooth dildoo

yep...because an infrared transmitter will help with that!

It's a shame none of them seem to have a learning mode like my One4All remote, you'd think it would be possible using a phone camera since they can see IR.
Remember this is not an IR blaster though - it's just something sticking into the earphone socket unless there is an android app that can actually make use of it. Peel etc. will not work.

You're talking about love motels aren't you...oO
Read somewhere some mobile phones have a vulnerablility via headphone jack.
