Bought it from Asda Wembley.
35 HB pencils at £0.60. It was displayed on a box saying £1.00 but scanned as £0.60p.
Ideal for kids I would have thought.

Bargin if you 35 pencils!

I got those ones for my kids at the start of term one time, and it did indeed look like good value, but the problem came when you went to sharpen them. They all came to pieces in the sharpener and the lead appeared to be fragmented all the way through the pencils.

I bought a box of staedler (sp?) branded ones instead, and they were fantastic. Every time you sharpened them, they didn't break.

Not trying to **** **** the OP, but this is just what happened in my experience. Perhaps my kids did something to them, like drop them all the time, to make them snap all the way through. The thing is though, if my kid is spending 10 minutes sharpening their pencil every day at school then they're not paying attention to what they should be, so I'd rather spend a bit more for the tools my kids are going to be using ALL DAY at school.

Yh these are the cheap company that they sell in pound shops
Still a cheap price and great find at 60p but if you actually want to use a pencil for a drawing or to show up decently in diagrams then use a different bran like staedler

If I remember rightly then these come pre snapped.
Meaning that the lead seams to be broken periodically every 5mm...Poor for serious use.

agreed, the pencil also seems to split into bits inside the sharpener when you try to sharpen it.

Bought these for my son last year - absolute pants!!

I did have the feeling these might be 'them' kindda pencils. Had it when I was a kid myself, remember them breaking everytime I would try to sharpen them- btw that was a long time ago
