got one of these, any one got the code to make the sky remote work?

Apparently a inherent fault with these TV's

From another forum

Oli, I'm suprised and slightly disappointed that you are still selling … Oli, I'm suprised and slightly disappointed that you are still selling these. This model has an inherant sound fault that you guys are well aware of. I had 3 of these off you in turn, all of which suffering the same fault, and had emails back from your staff and from Elonex themselves confirming this is a known and recognised fault potentially effecting every TV. I believe even the ones your staff have taken home reflect the same issue.Has this been addressed? If not, I would not recommend anyone buying these as chances are you'll have the same issue. Shame, as aside from this they are a superb TV for the price.

The fault is the TV will sporadically let out either a very loud screech … The fault is the TV will sporadically let out either a very loud screech or static hiss when it changes input or screen size. I spoke to Elonex and as soon as I said I had a fault with the TV they pre-empted what it would be and said it's inherant in that model. Doubt there will be any more details online, can't really find anything online about Elonex never mind details on the fault! I had this replaced twice (i.e. three different TVs) all of which suffered from the above so maybe I was just very unlucky. I don't have surround sound so not sure if the problem occurs when bypassing the TVs sound or not.

It's people like you who are scaring thousand of little old ladies across the country into spending hundreds of pounds buying new televisions that they don't need. I can't think of a single person I know who owns a television that will be obsolete.
All you need is a scart socket to take a set top box which can be had for as little as £10 now.
How many people now have a scart-less telly?

eerm.. where is the suggestion of scaring old ladies??? The is a posting for a deal, some like minded people would like advise before purchasing. I can well understand if the price difference is huge (you didn't include the price for a decent scart lead). The price difference is so low these analogue TV are now overpriced!
I respect your view of keeping a dual standard 405-625 TV and plug your freeview box in to it!

It was my suggestion of scaring old ladies and it refers to them, or in fact any 'technophobes' worrying unneccessarily that they are going to have to spend hundreds of pounds, that they can ill afford, to replace their television come the analogue switch off. And it's because of people saying 'OBSOLETE' that they wrongly believe that their current telly will be no good then, when in reality all they will need is a set top box.
I was just referring to you mentioning the word obsolete in regards to digital television. In reality there will be NO televisions that will suddenly become obsolete at the analogue switch off. A set top box and ANY old scart lead will keep 99% of people watching telly come the switch off.
Surely you see my point.

The one you suggest people buy after your OTT post is not FREESAT

So FAIL!!!

Got mine today.

Not a touch on my Panasonic 42" Plasma

but for a LCD and
runs my Xbox360 and popcorn hour perfectly in the bedroom.

Not fusses about freeview, but if I did buy one, I would buy it with a top up tv card slot

steer clear, got one from bipockets in november who still sell it for £299 (add a 20 disc cd case for £6.99 and got free del) all of a sudden it started emmitting a high pitched screeching sound and had to turn it off and on to get rid of it, keeps doing it every so often and looked into this and its an inherent problem with these lcd's so im returning the item this week. not sure what the returns are like from this company but i have to pay the postage as ive had it for over a month, cold due to the quality of tv but rep for trying
