Hope this hasn't alreayd been posted.

I know no one seems to like Microdirect and fanatics are gonna say Hanspree are terrible screens.

BUT 37" for £299 has to be a good deal surely?

Need to add delivery onto this of course.

I have a 32" hanspree and a 40" samsung LCD. Both are excellent TV. Only some AV buffs that bought a £300 telly and expect a bang and olufsen seem to slag them.

voted hot !

Blimey thats cheap, would like to see some reviews!

Am looking at getting a new Tv and £300 for a 37" in my eyes is a bargain as I was going to pay around £600 for a Samsung 37"

Anyone have any experience of this TV as don't fancy buying a dud

Anyone know the postage?

Also just noticed this has 2 years warranty so this is no refurb like previous hansprees at MD.

Not a bad deal at all I reckon, think I may get one for the bedroom.

Voted Hot!, I have a JT02 Hannspree and with the 360 its outstanding, for anyone who fancies one of these look at avforums for the differences between a Jt02 and YT02 as i cannot see which one this is but the differences are small.

Naa Microdirect have just pasted wrong description in.

This is a AVL37XV37

37 in the model numbers is a big sign this is a 37"

Here is a thread from AV Forums regarding the Tv as seems a few people have purchased
avforums.com/for…329

Am looking for some reviews also

anyone know if this tv has the capability of split screen with different inputs - e.g playing a dvd and surfing the internet simultaneously?

Oh you evil evil person, making me want to spend money!

Reviews ]Here (AV Forums) And ]Here (Money Saving Expert)

Seems to be a decent TV however it seems a little problematic and the remote is annoying... I still want it

I've just bought this TV this week for an elderly relative for £376 delivered. Even at that price it's an absolute steal. £299 is a brilliant price for this. It aint no Panny or Samsung but it's well built with a superb picture. Have a look at the reviews over at ebuyer for this TV if you want other opinions - the vast majority rave about it.

Does anyone know how many connections it has as cannot see anything on the site i.e. and is it 1080i?

number of scart connections
HMDI connections
Component
etc...

Sorry if it sounds stupid..lol

big thread on av forums about this, not sure about which model numbers are better seems to be JT/YT variations..

confusingly there is another XV37 model on Misco for £369 which has different spec...

and this...

Not sure about the differences but for this amount of screen real estate you can't go wrong, surely? I would'nt mind this for a monitor either. That's one big screen!

A detailed spec list, reviews and some pics here
buy.com/pro…tml

TV seems to have 3 HDMI slots but cannot se any scart connections on the pics or in the spec

Not sure if its the exact same item but it's £569.40 at eBuyer:
ebuyer.com/pro…965

So it must be a bargain at this price.

Difficult to tell whether this is the exact same TV, but it's on at £390 here:
intekx.com/pro…103

So Microdirect voted hot! Bargain, mine's ordered!

anyone confirm how many scart connects this TV has a cannot see anything in the specs i have came accross so far, wondering if anyone else has had any luck

Plan to connect the following if i get this TV

DVD player - scart
SKY+ - scart
xbox360 - component

Isn't the contrast ratio very poor compared to current models though? 1000:1 when most are 10,000:1 these days?

Good price though

hmm looks like a mis price. its actually the 32 inch thats at ebuyer i think.

Think it has 2 HDMI, 2 SCART, Component and VGA inputs NFS

Robotochan

Thanks:thumbsup:

Very tempting. The first few pages of the XV37 thread on AVforums seems positive enough.

Has anyone had any dealings with Misco before? I recall reading bad things about 'em.

Not had any dealings with them before but like you I am very tempted to get it as the price is amazing and phoned my mate who is thinking of getting it as well

I'd double check before ordering incase it's a mistake and you all get 32". They've listed the 32" 'on special' reduced from the same MRRP of £399 as well.
Don't make sense.

Does not look like you can contact them via email only via an 0870 number
Might give them a call from work tomorrow and see if it's correct as dont want to order the 37" to then receive a 32" and have the messing round of sending it back and getting a refund

My mates got one....iits a really nice tv ...quality tv for £299...

I think £299 is unbelieveable price

Voted hot (can also get 3% quidco (ex VAT))

No, the '10:000 to 1' ratings are for dynamic contrast, which is not the same as actual realworld contrast. Most LCD's are still around the 1000 mark, so its pretty good for this screen.

My Samsung says 5000:1 dynamic, but its actually nearer 1000:1

Was really interested in this but its out of stock now

Even if it turns out to be a misprice seeing that they are selling the 32" and 37" at the same price surely they will just only cancel the order due to a pricing error as they are not allowed to charge a credit card for more than authroised and cannot see them sending the 32" out as the product codes and microdirect order number is different

try saynoto0870.com there are alternate numbers there for this firm.
hope that helps

I've got the 32" model from ebuyer. Using the xbox 360 i can get 1080i and 1080p. I'm not sure if it's real 1080p but i can tell you the picture is superb. It's bright and very sharp. You can see the difference soo much when it's HD.

BUY THIS TV NOW.

Prices are bound to go up soon when people actually realise the tvs soo cheap. and with 2 years warranty aswell!

:santa: Just ordered (had it in the basket for ages) Been thinking about this TV for a while and this finally did it for me.
Can't wait. woo hoo.
Gotta vote this a hottie
