I posted this yesterday, but if you look closely, you'll see that you can get the postage down to £13.99 from £18.99, bringing the cost down to £316.43 My post was hidden in another 37" LCD post, so it wouldn't have shown up in search. Not that the search facility on this site is particularly reliable at any rate.

Note that quidco will take another £10.21 off, bringing the cost to £306.22 delivered.

The speakers are detachable, if people don't like the wide-o-vision look. It actually looks alot nicer in the flesh than in the pictures.

btw - voted hot on it.

or, we took an ok looking screen and bolted some ugly arsed speakers to the sides of it and a lump of plastic as a stand to the bottom of it! :-D

The bottomof the stand is actually chrome. The TV is finished to a very high quality. Hannspree really make an effort with their crazy-assed TVs.

Another good feature of their sets is that their remote controls light up, so you can see what you're pressing in the dark. And as I said in my last post - it really doesn't look as nasty in real life as it does in the pictures, it's actually quite fetching!

do u have this tv urself m8?

one thing that might be annoying is the lack of sky remote code. According to sky there still isnt one which means you either need to use 2 controls e.g tv remote and sky remote or buy an all in one remote. might be wrong tho.

anyone know anything about this make??

am looking for a tv for games room - primarily to play wii and xbox on

was looking at sony one in richer sounds recently on for £360 but its a lot of dough

this one looks a bit ugly but this one looks a bit quirky HANNSPREE VIBE 32 LCD-TV on the same site and its only £270 del minus quidco

anyone got one of the above and can comment or knows anything about the make -- never heard of it ??

it is a budget range but if you look at them on ebuyer people always rave about how good they are for the money

No Freeview receiver so you'll have to add that to the cost. Unless you've already got one, then you won't.

repost ahoy then hotukdeals.com/ite…-4/

800:1 contrast ratio is pretty much the bottom of the barrel, but then £317.00 for a 37'' HDTV cant grumble

not everyone has the same taste i dont really like the look of it but other people might eh

Is this 1080i?

I want a 1080P one

For free ideally!

I'm glad this has been posted again, bought this last week and paid for next day delivery.

Warning the box is very heavy and there was only one guy doing the delivery and he needed a LOT of my help.

Now then the TV, looks excellent, the main upside with this set is how well it handles HD material - especially from my PS3 with the HDMI cable, it's the best I've seen and I've viewed a few of those £800+ Sony's in curry's too they don't look better.

The main downside is that standard pictures (standard sky box or PS2 for example) are noticeably below par but acceptable (as long as your not sat a metre away lol) , it's not an issue for me as I'll be upgrading to Sky HD pretty soon but just worth noting.

The warranty is 2 years collect and return, the remote and accessories are only covered for 30 days though.

Overall if your going to use this for HD inputs then it's excellent value for money, there is only ONE HDMI port but you can always buy a decent splitter.

If your ONLY going to use it for Standard inputs I would stear clear.

Also attention gamers, there's no ghosting whatsoever - played GTA4, COD4, HOD, MGS4, VT3, new FIFA demo - and they look great.

It's 1080i/720p NOT 1080p by the way but you would be hard pressed to honestly find a noticeable difference between 720p and 1080p imo.

Enjoy!

Shouldnt grumble at 37" for that price, but it is ugly and only 1 HDMI and no Freeview!!!! come on

Anyone tried this as a pc monitor if so what is the text like also does it do 1:1 pixel mapping.

Cause in all fairness it looks an ugly tv by the pictures, i guess you shouldn't judge by a picture.

Currys still uses an analogue signal on their televisions (I highly doubt this will be as good as a sony) but this is a good price.

no freeview is not a bad thing as there will be a new standard in 2009 dvx2 so tvs with dvx 1freeview may require a box anyway

Nice to see minimalism is on the increase

Use the 360, it upscales fine.

I see that it also comes with quite a length of speaker wire so you can place the speakers where you want. Seriously tempted at one of these for the bedroom, i've got some surround speakers spare too so could wire them up no problem, ok you've talked me into it lol :whistling:

Mine came with a HDMI cable and a good bunch of others too, wish I would have known as ordered a HDMI cable seperately

If and when you buy one you'll be presently surprised by the sound quality, switch it to the BBE ViVA HD3D sound and it's FAB!

They were showing PS3 games not television signals and did not look better than this Hannspree by my eyes,

it's frustrating how people can be put off by a cheap price/none brand name, this looks excellent in HD, trust me

Looks very, very nice for the money! Does anyone know if this would be wall-mountable? That's really the only reason i haven't ordered it yet.

I've got it into my head that I need a new TV after all the TV's going through on here recently.

I don't think I'll be going for this one though.

Hopefully another good offer will come through next week.
