Looks exactly like the Hannspree. Good price for a middle-of-the-road set. Power consumption is high, so a chunk of your savings will be offset against running costs. Doesn't say anything about the length of warranty. Hannspree is usually 2 years collect service but I'm not sure about Elinox. I would enquire about that before purchase.

Here is a wee review from an Irish website - m.boards.ie/vbu…155

one from Amazon - amazon.co.uk/Elo…566

To be honest I'm not sure if these are for the same TV, but you never know.

I have a 47" Pioneer Plasma myself, but for £300 it might be worth a pop as a spare for the PS3. If I decide to go for it I'll send a review.

elonex was very big pc company early 90s unsure now but im dont know if someone brought them out and surfing on their good name ........

google elonex see who owns them !

You are quite correct, I believe they went into administration in June 2006, got sold to a printer cartidge firm, when into administration again in September 2006 and was finally sold to an ex-IBM exec who has relaunched the brand.

As someone who used to work with Elonex PCs I can only say that their build quality is really poor and I would trust them as far as I could throw one of their TVs (if it didn't disintergrate in my hand first).

I see they are back on a deal again - on the home page of the UKDVDR site for anyone interested.
